I found the room big enough to not feel cramped, although the bathroom was a little small. Most importantly, the room was clean, all the usual facilites - tea/coffee, phone, hairdryer, etc. - were included and a large window provided plenty of light, although the room was directly opposite an apartment block. ...the staff polite and friendly and the breakfast (included in the price of my room) was self-service, had plenty of choice and was well cooked.

I found the room big enough to not feel cramped, although the bathroom was a little small. Most importantly, the room was clean, all the usual facilites - tea/coffee, phone, hairdryer, etc. - were included and a large window provided plenty of light, although the room was directly opposite an apartment block.
The public spaces were bright, clean and well maintained, the staff polite and friendly and the breakfast (included in the price of my room) was self-service, had plenty of choice and was well cooked.
Although the accomodation was fairly basic I found the Jurys Inn more than met my requirments and will stay there in future.
Advantages: Pleasant,friendly,clean. Quiet. Disadvantages: None that we could see.
...stayed one night in the Jurys Inn with my husband. It is situated inthe city centre, close to the shops and next to Bridgewater Hall. Our room was not very big but roomy enough and pleasant with plenty of natural light via the window. There was not much of a view even though we were on the sixth floor. There was tea & coffee provided & a very fast-boiling kettle. We were given extra coffee & tew bags at reception with no hesitation when we asked.
... ...& we had a good night's sleep. It was very quiet during the night, no doors slamming or people walking around the corridors ,in fact we wondered if we were the only guests! No noise from outside the hotel,either.
The bathroom was quite small but nice powerful shower.
Breakfast wasn't included for us & we didn't eat dinner there so can't comment on the food. All in all a pleasant stay. ...

Advantages: Low prices, excellent leisure facilities, some thermostically controlled showers Disadvantages: bit out of the way, very noisy with poor soundproofing, no teletext on portable TV's
leisure facilities for a major city I could be tempted to overlook the bad points and just make sure I am not doing anything too strenuous the following day. I have given it a good simply because of the competitive pricing and excellent leisure facilities.
