I have never been on 2 better flights. It was amazing. We were whisked from our local airport (Leeds) to Schiphol quickly and efficiently, where we arrived with no fuss. Check in queues were non-existent due to efficient and friendly staff. Or the small plane. With 90 minutes to wait, we decided to go to the VIP lounge, where we were showered with cake, coffee, and computer games. It was amazing. Our bags were transported to the next flight - we didnt see them from Leeds to Calgary. We sauntered off to the plane about 15 minutes before takeoff, and walked straight onto the plane. We settled into our large, comfortable, spacious seats in economy class (don't expect that in the new 777!!!), grabbed all available freebies, and waited for takeoff - which was precisely on time. Once we got up, we were offered free drinks - a service that continued throughout the flight - just go and ask for one - and watched the pleasing TV shows and excellent film choice. Lightly slumbring, I was gently tapped on the shoulder by the gorgeous stewardess who asked for my menu CHOICE(!!), of three. I had the beef - excellent - the best airline meal ever. After the fun of watching those little plane progress screens waned after about 5 hours, the comfort of my surroundings - the seats, the quiet, and the provided blindfolds, I fell asleep to wake up again in Calgary - the landing didnt wake me either. The perfect flight.
