KLM is probably one of the most reliable airlines currently around, particularly if you don't live neat a major London airport, as they serve loads of UK regional airports (I travel mostly from Birmingham). Some of their regional jest can be quite small, a problem if you are only travelling with hand luggage, but the cabin crew are very obliging and will do their best to help you. My son has travelled with them as an unaccompanied minor several times and I can say that they take great care of children. I believe the kids waiting room at Schipol is equipped with computer games which of course children love! I have also found that they seem to offer reduced fare which do not necessarily involve a Saturday night sta, obviously in an attempt to compete with low budget airlines. So go on, have a try. PS) I am flying with them to the USA in a few days, so I hope I won't change my opinion!
