...software, image transfer software and Kodak Picture Software. The transfer software runs in the background and starts up whenever the camera is detected and then guides you through transferring your images. Once an image is transferred, you are passed over to the Picture Software which allows you to view your images and apply simple image enhancements, e-mail them and organise images in an album. (37mm) to use these a DX4900 or DX3900 lens adapter is needed, this just screws onto the thread of the existing lens. The extra lenses can then be attached easily. One problem I have when the lenses are on that I cannot see through the view finder the full picture (you can see the corner of the lens) Its fine when using the LCD screen.

Advantages: Easy to use, can customise settings for varying conditions, good crisp clear pictures Disadvantages: Battery power, instruction manual on cd, no video facility
...The camera comes complete with kodak bundled software, USB transfer lead, mains power supply which acts as a charger and leads for television connectivity. The software is ok as a point to transfer pictures but not really recommended as a photo editor.
I would recommend buying the optional docking station as you simply connect it to your pc and just keep your camera on it, and to transfer your pictures you just press the button also it keeps your ... ...just looses its charge literally minutes after being taken of the charger, there is a technical FAQ for this problem on the kodak website.
Overall despite the battery problem this is a very good camera for general short distance photography, pictures are clear and very colourfull a recommended buy. ...

Advantages: Reliable, relatively robust Disadvantages: Size and lack of functionality
As my first forage into the world of digital photography, this camera was somewhat of a step into the unknown but one which I was certainly not disappointed by at first. Quality pictures which I could take simply and put onto a PC or laptop and maila round to friends and print to my hearts content seemed like great fun. Nevertheless, over time I have realised that perhaps the camera isn’t the best option at around this price bracket (expensive when ... ...I don’t think!) as its not particularly compact and quite lacking in functionality, for example, there’s no option to take multiple images side by side in order to create a quality landscape view, the zoom isn't fantastic and it certainly shows its age when compared with the more modern breed of compact digi camera of this sort of quality. Another down side is the cost of printing these pictures at home although I have found nowadays that supermarkets ...

...beat. If you register with Kodak on line after purchase you get regular e-mails with updates and suggestions - they do have a shop but they don't seem to sell too hard. A feature I have used a lot is the 12 shots in a second. I go to Formula 1 racing and other sports car events and with my previous camera used to get plenty of beautifully focussed advertising boards - and maybe the front or tail of a car!
With this feature I have managed to get ... ...have some fabulous full zoom shots of the red arrows in flight in formation and with the smoke. I feel that this is a camera which, granted you need to take a pocketfull of batteries, but has such great versatility from Portrait to action that is still takes some beating nearly two years later. I love it and would recommend it to anyone with an interest in using a camera for all purposes. ...

I use this camera mostly for taking pictues of jewelry and beads which requires a very good zoom. I have found with this product that though it takes quality pictures, if you try to take very close pictures, they are fuzzy.
Also, if you are planning on cropping the picture (which is the only way I can get a clear close-up) you need to really concentrate on keeping the camera as still as possible or it will be blurry.
However, if you are looking ... ...shots, this is an excellent camera. The power lasts for much longer if you equip it with a lithium battery. One more thing - getting the flashcard out of the camera is difficult for people with large fingers or very little fingernails.

An sxcellent and very compact bit of kit, the only drawback I have encountered is the design of the outer casing which lacks an easy and natural grip possition making the camera less comfortable in the hand than others I have used.
