As my partner was approaching their 30th birthday, I decided to treat them to a long weekend in Prague, as they had always wanted to visit this city. I wanted to make it a weekend to remember, so did a bit of research online for a suitable hotel. I came across the K+K Hotel Central. As you would assume, the K+K Hotel Central is based in the centre of Prague, within close proximity of many of the tourist attractions that Prague has to offer.
The K+K Hotel is a chain of stylish hotels, located in various cities across Europe, including Prague, London, Paris, Vienna, Munich, Salzburg, Budapest, and Bucharest. This chain of hotels was founded by brothers called Josef and Helmut Koller, in 1961.The K+K Hotel Central in Prague is a very sophisticated and has its own modern décor that makes it very distinctive. The front of the hotel is very plush looking and leads to an elegant lobby and reception area. When I arrived at this hotel with my partner, we were greeted immediately and were shown to our room. Our bags were transported up to room by a hotel porter and we were given a comprehensive explanation of the room and hotel facilities. The room was not the biggest I have stayed in, but it had all the necessary features, such as TV, air conditioning and had heated tile floors in the bathroom, which really impressed my partner.
The hotel interior was stunning with a superb looking, open plan dining area for our buffet breakfast. The choice of food was extensive and very tasty. Breakfast was served 6.30 – 11am on Mondays – Thursdays and 6.30 – 12am on Fridays – Sundays, which allowed me to sleep in if I wanted to. The bar was very colourful and had a nice seating area. The lobby also had free high speed internet access and conference facilities for business functions. One thing my partner and I were unable to make use of, was the wellness area, featuring a sauna and massage options. As I booked a few months in advance, I received competitive rates on the room, but I would say that the room costs are usual for a hotel of this type and quality. This hotel is a four star hotel and definitely lives up to the rating. You can’t go wrong by choosing this hotel when you visit Prague.
