Trying not to fall in Falls..
Review of Falls Creek by
post-it-note
Advantages: Ski Fun, Nice location..
Disadvantages: Ive seen more snow..
...I'm a Sydney girl and growing up had always been to the snowfields just out of Canberra (not so many hours from Sydney) so just after a break up a group of friends suggested I needed a week away and suddenly we found ourselves headed for Falls Creek!
Falls Creek is located in North East Victoria (that's the state down the bottom under Sydney) about 5 hours drive from Victoria's Capital city, Melbourne. For my friends and I it's about a 14-hour drive from Sydney. The story goes that its rare to have to put on tyre chains but we had to put ours on, this could have something to do with it being the middle of winter though! There are service stations as you start to enter the area that will hire chains and add anti freeze to your car if you haven't already sorted that out. It's compulsory to carry chains if driving up the windy road...

Review on Niagara Falls in the 'fall'
Review of Niagara Falls (Canada) by
shirley49
Advantages: Cheap and cheerful accommodation and food if you look for it
Disadvantages: long flight and Japanese tourists
...Heading down the Queen Elizabeth Highway from Toronto to Niagara Falls the first indication you get is the sound of the falls.
If you have never physically been close to Niagara the sound hits you before the sight.
Driving down you start to get a glimpse of the American Rainbow falls. WOW. This awesome sight is truly breathtaking till you round the corner and see the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
Nothing can prepare you for this. Okay you have read about them, seen them on television or in files but the sheer size and volume takes your breath away.
Wander around keeping away from the wet ground if you do not want sprayed. Join the throngs of tourists leaning over taking photo after photo.
But take time to visit the parks and other attractions on offer.
There is a gaudy Blackpool style street which has fairground attractions...

Falling for Falls
Review of Niagara Falls (Canada) by
Joper
Advantages: Sites, attractions, and value for money
Disadvantages: Has become a tourist hot spot, yes this includes tacky souvengirs
...The Falls, the most spectacular site I have ever seen. When I went to Canada on a BTCV holiday, one of the destinations was Niagara Falls. When we parked the mini bus and walked up to the Falls the site was amazing. This waterfall, although not the largest, is spectacular to say the least. The site of the water tumbling over the edge is turely breathtaking. The nosie and spray from the top was intense, but we did the Maid of the Mist trip, that drove (in a boatof course) up to the base of the Falls. Here the true beauty can be seen, and you also got soaked from the mist. It was well worht the $10 Canadian dollars we paid for the trip. The other sites around the Falls are jsut as impressive, such as the Casino. A word of warning, there are very strict on the age there, and will ask anyone that looks younger then 18. This does...
