Advantages: A spectacular view you'll never forget Disadvantages: a bit crowded sometimes
...I was fortunate enough to visit Niagara Falls twice during my Canadian holiday. Niagara has got to be the highlight of the trip. The Falls are spectacular - a must see for anyone travelling to southern Ontario.
Visitors can stand beside the Falls at the top for free. You get close enough that it feels as though you could reach out and touch the water. We also went on the “Maid of the Mist” boat ride, from a few minutes downriver. The boat travels right up to the foot of the falls, until it is totally enveloped in the huge mist cloud the falls create. It was an awesome experience – well worth the money.
You can also travel down a tunnel and come out behind the falls. This is also an amazing way to see the falls – those who brave the queues are well rewarded.
The highlight of our trip was the helicopter ride over the falls. Even...

...Niagara Falls is one of those sites that people claim is a must see. Although the actual falls are very impressive the surrounding area is very depressing! The town of Niagara Falls on the Canadian side has been ruined by cheap motels, tourist shops, and the list goes on. It is a horrible town unless you like bright lights and being ripped off. It is possible to visit it as a day trip from Toronto, there are a number of tour operators that run a service to the Falls. There is a boat service, aptly named the Maid of the Mist that you can go one. You adorn a big, black rubber mac and get taken as close under the falls as you would ever want to go. It is kind of fun but that is about it. They also have one of those cheesy cut outs of a barrel and you can have your photo taken - making it look like you are going over the falls! Very...

Advantages: Great Scenary not too expensive lots of things too see Disadvantages: Can be quite cold and slippery in winter.
...We have been to Niagara Falls so many times and enjoyed a lot each time we went there. On our first visit we went to quite a few places near Niagara Falls. First we went to see the Canadian falls and got amazed by the massive amount of water that spills over the falls every min. The height of the Canadian fall is approx 54m. If you walk a bit further down there is American falls (The height of the American falls is around 56m). These two falls are true wonders of nature. After viewing these stunning places we went to a Niagara Boat Ride. It was the best ride we ever had a bit scary for my partner. The ride was called “The Maid of the Mist” and before going on to the boat tour they gave us the hooded rain coat, The Ride duration is 30 min it took us through the chinning water of the American side falls then past the Rock Ages...
