The ANTALYA is our little oasis in the centre of Nottingham.
It is located in Forman Street which is next to the Theatre Royal and The Concert Hall, also across the road is the Corner House which houses a Multi Screen Cinema.
There are many eating places in the area, but if you are looking for something different to PIZZA.s BURGERS Etc then enter

As you enter there is a Small Bar, and I am sure there will be a smiling face to Greet you.
There is a large dining area. We usually aim for the tables near the wall as it has Bench Seating against the wall which we find very comfortable.
There is also an upstairs area which includes a working Fountain, this area seems to be used as an overflow or for large parties.
The decor of the dining areas we find very pleasant ...
Advantages: Wondeful food, huge pool area, best 5 star in the city. Disadvantages: Very little I can think of.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
I went to the Sheraton Antalya in May 2005 with my husband for our wedding anniversary. I decided to stay here in particular because we were staying in Turkey at the time and had free nights in a Sheraton Hotel to use up. Having said that I had high expectations of the hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is large and impressive, set above Konyaalti Beach and has a wonderful view out over the beautiful bay to the mountains beyond. The lobby is large, modern and airy, with a cake shop that serves a wonderful afternoon tea. In the evening there was a pianist and singer covering a nice variety of tunes in La Fontaine Bar. The hotel had a fairly mixed international clientel.

Our room was large with a nice sitting area and had all the expected mod cons. The room was immaculate, however the décor was ...

The airport for the south coast of Turkey is Antalya, the Hotel Barut Arum is in Side, a small town 60 km to the east (province of Antalya). As the transfer was not included in our arrangement, we had to take a taxi, at the taxi station there's a long list with destinations in the vicinity with fixed prices in Euro, our fare was 65 Euro.
The Euro is the second currency in Turkey, so you have to change your money into Turkish Lira as well as Euro, you can do that in the airport while you're waiting for your luggage. You can also get your visa there, British and Irish tourists still need one (German and Italian ones don't).
