St Anton

Advantages: Lifts, Snow, Cartouche, Friendly, Hotel Rendlhof
Disadvantages: Piste grooming, wet lower down at Easter, weather on St Anotn, prices.

No no, not a Saint at all. Its a ski resort in Austria, one of the most famous there. St Anton is in the Alps, about 90 minutes by road from Innsbruck, or 150 minutes from Zurich. It offers 260 kilometres of piste, 34 easy runs, 70 intermediate, and 30 advanced. These runs are spread across 4 main areas : St. Anton, The Rendl, Zurs and Lech, and are serviced by 81 lifts. St Anton and the Rendl are right next to the main town of St Anton Am Arlberg, on opposite sides of the valley, and a short, relatively cheap bus ride away over the Arlberg Pass are Lech and Zurs, which are connected by lifts as well as the bus. St Anton

Advantages: Beautiful scenery, Clean Air, Superb Excursions, Warm and Friendly Folk
Disadvantages: can be expensive to the British Pocket

Just at the foot of the Arleberg pass, and in the Arleberg is St Anton am Arleberg it is around a 20 mins drive from Landeck and around an Hour by motorway from Innsbruck with major international and ntional rail links St Anton is one of the more easily accessible places to get to in the Austrian Tirol particularly if you do not have a car, if you have plenty of money then you could travel in style as the Venice - Simplon Orient Express stops at St Anton railway Station in each direction, and if you arn't travelling on board why not pop up to the station where you can view the Orient Express when it stops for several minutes. St Anton one of the more popular Towns in The Tirol and is very popular destination amongst British Tour operators ( Self Drive, Coach and Air) despite being set in Mountains and also the town itself being ...

Review of St Anton (Austria)

St Deny's, the clean hotel for my dirty weekend!

Advantages: Polite and helpful staff, clean hotel.
Disadvantages: Bed a bot on the small side for my husband.

, knocking a good £20 a night off the final balance. The hotel also kindly offer an early bird feature, this is aimed at people like ourselves who only go for a weekend, would rather not have to arrive at 3pm to check in wasting best part of a day. The hotel states that you can arrive anytime you wish, and although it is unlikely your room will be ready, you are allowed to park up your car and leave all your luggage behind a locked door, freeing you up for a wander of the area before booking in. We were doubly lucky as not only did we arrive at 11am and have our luggage and car seen to, we were allowed to book in at the slightly earlier time of 2pm?bonus! First impressions of the hotel didn?t leave me disappointed in any way shape or form. The hotel in it?s heyday was once the St Deny?s church rectory, the church still being there ...
