I stayed at Karrageen Camping site for one week in August with my partner and our two children, aged 9 and 5. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful teenager who was willing to show us the area on a photographic map, and then escort us down to our pitch and direct us to the facilities. Our first impressions were of pure delight and relaxation. The site was quiet, the facilities were clean and the site had lots of space for our children to play in and in no time, had made new friends!. At night groups of children team together and play all types of games, which sometimes include us as parents, but its all in the name of fun! We found the camp shop on site to be very useful with a very good take-away service. Reasonably priced, good, home- cooked food which we enjoyed a great deal and it saved the hassle of washing up! The food was varied - Indian, Lasagne, fish and chips and various puddings! great for the kids and parents too. The only problem that occured was on our very first shower because we could not get hot water, we went to the camp shop and they immediately came to look at the problem and respectfully pointed out we had not read the instructions properly! We had no more problems for the rest of the week. We also liked the idea that the water available throughout the site was all fresh spring water. The site offers superb views looking out at sea and on some nights, one can even see the southern parts of Cornwall. All the pitches were level and were all spaced out, so there was not the issues of being camped too close to others, which is a problem we have occured on previous sites before. We thought the site to be reasonably priced and certainly good value for money.
