Absolutely Beautiful.

Advantages: Stunning Place.
Disadvantages: Beach.

On holiday me and my fiancé Dave are not the type of people who like to stay in one place and just explore that area, instead we opt for the more adventurous path of getting out and seeing the sights. When given a relatively small island like Corfu we couldn't help but just pinpoint a place on the map and just go not knowing what it will be like. This is how we ended up in Kassiopi and it was quite a pleasant day we spent there.

-----
...across the North coast is quite pleasant to be honest and then the sign for Kassiopi kind of takes you by surprise and diverts you from the main road. When we drove into Kassiopi we thought it was very quaint and I did not think there was anything there as we were driving down these small winding streets that were so long. Also as you are driving around Kassiopi there is not much room for pedestrians and cars so we were panicking about where to park.

Kassioppi - The family's choice.

Advantages: All you need for a family holiday.
Disadvantages: Winding roads.

A couple of years ago I took my mother, wife and daughter on a package holiday to the Greek island of Corfu. A thoroughly enjoyable two week holiday. Arrival: Moving through Corfu airport was relatively quick and we were soon aboard our coach and bound for the sea side resort of Kassioppi located in the north east of the island. Transfer: The 20 miles or so from the Airport to Kassioppi is via small winding coastal roads. Inevitable problems passing ...
...Weather in June: On our journey from the Airport the clouds opened and the rain fell. Boy did it fall. The deluge lasted a mere two or three minutes and virtually flooded the road. However, once the rain stopped so did the flood. This weather is not untypical in early June. Kassioppi: Most holiday accommodation is within a ten minute walk of the town centre and small fishing port. The town is packed with restaurants, bars, pubs and shops, including ...

Kassiopi the magical experince

Advantages: Lovely location, friendly people, excellent food.
Disadvantages: Can have heavy rain even in the summer months

Myself and my family have been to Kassiopi three years running. It is a lovely little fishing village, full of very friendly greek people. The main street in the resort is full of bars. they range from karaoke bars to quit bars where you can just go for a quiet drink. In the time that I have ben there, there has never been any trouble. Not really a place for young children as there is very little to do for them. My special needs daughter really ...
...is a must for everyone. They have live greek dancing everynight by the owner and some of the locals. it is so popular that you have to get there early to get a seat. The highlight of the night is when Cost does his act he dances with a table gripped in his mouth with two stools on top. You need to see it to believe it. Somewher you need to take your camera to. There are some very good taverna's as well especially the "three brothers fish one. ...

My family first went to kassiopi 30 years ago and fell in love with the place i first went 20 yrs ago when i was 6 years old it was wonderful i loved it so much i returned for 3 more holidays and then when i turned 10 my family still returned i had to stay home due to school commitments. Every year id look at photos and long to go and see if my memory of the place was still the same then 10 years later and i was 20 i returned to kassiopi with my ...

Kassiopi - The Loveliest Resort on Corfu!

Advantages: Great Beaches, Friendly People, Fabulous Climate
Disadvantages: Negligible...

KASSIOPI, CORFU I spent two weeks in Kassiopi, a little fishing village on the Ionian island of Corfu, in September of this year. And quite frankly, it is such a stunningly gorgeous place that I almost have reservations about promoting it in any way whatsoever ?alas, my altruism got the better of me, so here goes! WHY KASSIOPI? Having decided on a holiday in Greece, my husband and I considered renting a villa on Corfu, together with our 2 year-old son & my in-laws. Characteristically enough, we ended up leaving things to the very last minute, but when it came to booking it really was a case of last come, best served! The company we used, Meon, had one last, lonely Villa left languishing on its books in all of Corfu for the dates we wanted to travel. This was Villa Apanemia, in Kassiopi, and so Apanemia it was. I'd never even ...

The island of Corfu

Advantages: Nice island
Disadvantages: not in Swptember

I visited the little Island of Corfu in September 1998 and was left with mixed feelings. I have visited several Greek Islands and This ranks lowest on my list. I stayed in the resort village of Kassiopi which is about an hour on a coach from the Airport at Corfu Town. Its a coastal fishing village by trade and sits near the north East Tip of the Island. You can see Albania just across the water only 6 miles away. To the North Coast are the quiet beach resorts of Sidari and Roda. This is for the easy going beach holiday types that want nothing more than to Lie on a beach all week. If you expect anything else you will be dissapointed as there is very little else. If its fun and excitement you want, You need to be in the south part of the Island. The party capital of the island is Kavos. Kavos holds all of the bars ...

Rainy Corfu

Advantages: Close to Albania and very picturesque
Disadvantages: Rains a lot out of season

I went on a holiday to Corfu with a boyfriend in 1998 and stayed in the Resort of Kassiopi. It is quite a small town with not many bars and clubs and would make an ideal location for a family holiday. There is a small beach to the north of the town and a small harbour with cafes and restaurants around it. The rest of the island was visited on Moped while we were there. Here is my opinion on the rest of the island. On the middle East coast is the port town of Corfu Town. This is where the airport is and where you arrive. The more lively younger people tend to head south here to Kavos and the other people head north to Sidari and Kassiopi. Kavos is the clubbing town with lots of bars and clubs and beach. The beach is covered in rubbish washed in from the sea though and looks untidy. Corfu town is the capital of the Island and has ...
