When i think of past memories, i think of my trip to Nepal in the city called Kathmandu which is the capital city. First of all, i was never there until i went there and what i saw there was what is left for another trip to complete my experience.
I left for India with my best friend Doe for an adventure and finally we decided to visit Nepal. When we arrived this Country, it was first of all a shock but the later wasn't true. It was Summer there i guest because it was in hot and very dusty. The cars there were so small for my liking. We board a cab to one "Tokyo" Hotel where we lodged for the night. The thing that interested me most was the price of the hotel rooms. I cant imagine that i paid for a hotel room for two just $5 a night. For this reason, we decided to stay in this hotel for the two weeks we spent there.
The food there is so cheap and very tasty especially the method it was prepared. We never tried any European dish there and lived basically on the native food. My favorite was the "chicken Momo" which i think is made of flour and minced chicken and wrapped like meat balls. You can have very hot (much of pepper) soup which goes with the beer there. I was drinking Tuborg though its a universal beer.

There were many strange things we discovered out here in the capital of Kathmandu especially in Thamel the city center that you will see Cows just moving on the streets freely with people and the only that that was really strange is that, these people don't eat the cow, that's its a god and they worship them. The hundreds of shops with insents, handmade jewels, handmade cloths and sandals they have there are so beautiful that you will not imagine.
The people there are so friendly and like to be with us and tell us the stories of the past about Nepal. It was some state of emergency when we were there and so all telephone networks were cut and we had no access to communicate back home and that was our only fear. the airport was at some time, shot down till further notice.
My best word i like was "namastey" which is hello, hi and you did that with your palm closed to each other and with a bow. The Buddhist tradition is the main believe in the Whole country and so when going there as Christians, get your bible and church him to always remember your God.

The one thing i never liked about this place was the spitting on the floor anywhere by everyone. We thought maybe it was a tradition and almost started doing it like they normal saying "when you are in Rome, do what the Romans do" but it was a nasty habit that always gave me stomach turn. So if you hate being amongst people who do the spitting, then Nepal is not a good place for you. but that was my own thoughts.
I will still like to visit Nepal again because i want to visit the highest mountain in the world (Everest). The only place in Nepal that's always snow. Then the Bungy jumping in "Pokhara" another city is a very beautiful experience i like having.
Hope to be there again soon. Nepal is a recommended touristic site for those who like traveling to places.
