We only stayed for one week, but it is one week that I shall remember for the rest of my life.
Before leaving I wasn't expecting too much, too be honest from all the uncovered programs that I had seen; where the rooms looked cramped and the reps where customer servies assistants from hell, I was kind of expecting to arrive holding my breath, going crazy without paying too much attension (!) then finally relaxing once I got home. ...a different story all together. It took a while, 2 hours to be precise, from the airport to the hotel. Much to the boys morbid pleasure, we passed a car wreck on the way to the resort, but overall it went quite quickly.

Once I got there however, it was a different story all together. It took a while, 2 hours to be precise, from the airport to the hotel. Much to the boys morbid pleasure, we passed a car wreck on the way to the resort, but overall it went quite quickly.
The town was dead when we arrived.. at about 4 o'clock in the morning (it was cheaper that way!), so heading up to our rooms to get some sleep was welcomed. But apon seeing our hotel, our spirits where lifted.. yes it is right next to a strip club, but it is also right on the beach. We had, as our rep had put it.. the penthouse apartments (ooo!). We ended up getting both between the nine of us and a regular room on the second floor.
I have to say I was impressed. I was expecting Disneyland style rooms.. one small room and a bathroom. But ours was a suprise, it was like a little studio appartment! Kitchen area, table and chairs, four beds (a separate, main bedroom) a 3 S's bathroom and a balcony!- which also included a table and chairs ..(its the small things!)
The hotel it self was lovely. It was far enough from the main street to relax, but close enough to walk to the clubs, bars or resturants of an evening. If you didnt want to venture too fart. The hotel has a pool and a cute bar/ restuarantish area. You can order food all day (and even though it can take a while) it was always of a high quality. The barman was great (hey Kal!! do you still have the llama?!) and so was the owner.
The pool was always clean, and if you dont fancy just sunbathing or swimming they also have a pool table; and literally just outside the main entrance of the complex, there's a Krazy golf place. The owners which are lovely, im not sure if they remember us.. but if they are reading, my friend and I where the first ones to have a game on the 'new' (..it was at the time!) billiards table..yeay!
Caution: beware the cleaners.. (in every sense.. )

As you can probably guess there are tonns of bars... no that is an understatement! ANd with each bar comes about 20 billions touts.. njust do what we did to avoid them.. either hold ands in a long chain with the biggest at the front saying ..NO! or do a conga. Either one works fabulously, unlesss of course they are very determind.. (..my friend and I ended up getting offered a job at road block!)
Which ever one you choose though, there is something for everyone. Unless of course you like hard core metal.. they dont cater for that, which is a bummer, but one recommendation I do have is Manhattens.. purely because they play cheese, and the dj put on Tiffnay - I think we're alone now for me and the girls! (which was closely followed by Build me up Buttercup..!! I was in cheesey heaven!)
You dont need to go to a club here to have fun, but as they are all free...!! (except for special nights - like when Sonique played at sandstorm) you may as well if you want to continue late into the evening and on into the night (which isnt hard.. trust!)
The Venue was always a blast, but to be honest you will find that certain things are on at certain times, you'll know where you want to go.
The only thing that I would say that brings it down, it the prices for drinks..Make sure, if thats what you want to do- get lagged up BEFORE you go into the clubs.. the prices are like those in London. (We ended up buying crates, drinking and talking- or dancing till 10 - 11, going to a bar, dance/drink a little more, then at one, we would head into a club.. to DANCE! you wouldnt find us forking out for their smirnoff !
One thing I do recommend that you will have to ask your rep about is the Boat Barb-q. It lasts for the best part of the day and you get a boat trip, barbe on a beautiful beach; then a trip (if your lucky) to where they filmed Blue Lagoon. It was beautiful, and im really glad we did it.
ooo, and from personal experience.. dont go walking on the beach at night unless your covered up! My exposed bits..(legs) where bitten to hell on the 2nd night! d'oh!
Advantages: Some great bars and places to go, good films and a nice beach, hot as well. Disadvantages: Stinks, and the beggars and PR people will drive you mad !
...to write about it.
Kavos is a small town situated at the bottom of the Greek Island of Corfu, the island is just a few miles off the coast of mainland Greece. I spent two weeks there and this is the first part of my review, with a second op on the Flight Company to follow. There were four of us in the party to Kavos, and we set off at the ungodly hour of 5am on a Monday. I suppose this worked out as we arrived in Corfu just before lunchtime local ... ...approximately an hours drive to Kavos from the airport, so we boarded our coach and prepared for the journey, however we were to sit there for over an hour while the rep argued with the driver who said there were people missing. I think the rep was to blame as he had lost people but it wasn’t comfortable at all. Finally we departed and endured a very scary journey along the thin and windy roads of Corfu, but at speeds you wouldn’t do ...

...park to get away from Kavos and it was a great day out. Brilliant value for money because there was plenty to do. On the bus journey we saw more remote areas which looked really nice and wished we'd gone to them instead. I go out a lot in Britain, and I enjoy nightlife, but Kavos was really geared to the 18 year old lads who were too drunk to notice they had no hot water, and probably the people who smashed bottles on the beach!
I would recommend ...

Advantages: Cheap food and drink, lots of sun & fun Disadvantages: Not picturesque not for honeymoons or families
When I first arrived in Kavos i was actually quite horrified at what i saw.
Kind of resembling a shanty town in Greece it is not a picturesque town and i would never pretend to anyone that it was. When we arrived at the appartments they were a hideous pink but inside i have to admit they were clean and spacious. The Bathroon left alot to be desired and consisted of a loo and shower tray with a shower head. Not exactly bursting with modern amenities ... ...The night life is what Kavos is all about. The whole road lights up and the amount of neon in that street is quite amazing. We went with sunshine holidays and they offer all kinds of bar crawls and trips it is a great way to meet people. You pay about £10 for a barcrawl and you gets shots in all the bars, free entry to the clubs and a cheesy t-shirt to show your freinds when you get home!! I remember the whole group of us being paralletic with all ...

Advantages: Good for first holiday away Disadvantages: Not to clean
...at was just out of Kavos town, so it was to chill out during the day and a ten minute walk, you were in the main town. The area is a little run down, but its developing, so if you go there with the attitude that its going to be like Ibiza, you will get a shock. Its a good place for your first holiday away from your parents and with your mates. Its not clean, but thats because (now for the disguting bit), a little thing called the Kavos blow back. ... ...down the toilet and as the pipes are to small to take it, it floods most of the area near you. Thats why you have put your toilet roll in the bins, but these were changed every day. If you pick the right hotel, you'l have an excellent rounded holiday, we stayed away fromt eh 18-30's stuff and went with first choice, you could do all the same stuff as them but at half the price with less pushiness. It might sound a bit of a upmarket third world town, but ...

Advantages: Excellent place for fun loving people, not oldies Disadvantages: Two weeks aint long enough for this sorted town !!
...a rather indignant reveiw of Kavos on this site, and thought that I must offer my comments on the TOWN. Kavos is undeniably advertised as a YOUNG persons place. The review that I have read slates Kavos rather a lot, but since this person last visited in 1944, by my calculations must be at least 56 years old. No offence to those of this age, but I must complain that KAVOS IS CALLED A YOUNG PERSONS PLACE !!!! If you do not wish to see that side of ...

Advantages: website easy to navigate. Disadvantages: none come to mind!
This year was the first time that i had ever booked a holiday with first choice. We booked a last minute deal to Kavos, in Corfu, Greece. I have to say that it was a very easy andn pleasant transaction.
The website was clearly very secure, and loaded all its pages quickly. There were no hidden charges for booking online, and the website itself was very easy to navigate.
The price was very competitive, in fact it was by far the cheapest we had found, and it automatically included transfers from the airport to the hotel, something of which i was extremely grateful, and surprised, as this is the first holiday provider i have found that includes this at no extra cost.
We recieved our email confirmation within a matter of minutes of completing our transaction. Our confirmation detailed that we would recieve our tickets 2 weeks ...

Advantages: A brilliant holiday for singles! Disadvantages: No sleep!
I went to Kavos a few years ago on a girls holiday, and I can honestly say its the best girlie holiday I've ever had (and I've been on a few!).
We chose Kavos as we all liked Greece but none of us had been to Corfu before - we'd also heard it was "pretty lively" from the travel agent. We arrived at 6am in the morning, and as the coach pulled up near our apartments, we saw people staggering back from the bars - we knew then we were in for a boozy holiday! We weren't wrong!
Our apartments were directly on the beach - we literally had to walk down the stairs and we were on it. It was an ideal location, as it was quiet enough at night/morning to let us sleep off our hangovers, but only a few minutes walk to the main road where all the bars, restaurants and shops were.
The first night we were there, we went out about 9.30pm and it ...
