Advantages: Some good rock formations Disadvantages: boat show!
...was no exception. We had our welcome chat the morning after we arrived and we hastily booked up four trips and one of those was to go and see " The Caves of Drac" this is a coach trip including a stop off in Porto Christo.
We paid around 40 euros each for the whole day trip which I thought was fairly reasonable for a wholes days activity.
The coach picked us up from our hotel in the morning and we were joined by other guests from other hotels. It took us a little while to get to the Caves this of course was due to the random stop off at the Majorcia Pearl factory! Not really our cup of tea and we were there for ages!
On arriving at the Caves of Drac we were hurried into the entrance which was down a lot of steps and finishing up with you joining the end of what seemed like an endless queue.
In actual fact the queue was endless...

Advantages: Very Clean Disadvantages: Awful Food, Noisy, Far way from Palma Airport
...obviously added to the cost of the holiday.
Now a good thing about the hotel was the cleanliness, I can have no complaints about that as my room was cleaned daily as was the whole of the hotel. The cleaning team there were great, they spoke very little English but did their job fantastically as the hotel was always very clean.
The Hotel is situated close to the Caves of Drach, approximately 200 metres away and if you're ever in Porto Cristo I recommend you take the tour of the caves, as it really is a wonderful sight.
Hotel Statistics:
Airport - 60 km away and will cost around £50 or 75 Euros by taxi to get to the hotel
Beach - 800 metres away and you have to walk through an area of the locals, which live in a poor standard of housing.
Shops - The shops are located near the beach and there is a wide variety of shops.

Advantages: Breathtaking scenery Disadvantages: Possible crowds?
..., which was quite atmospheric. We had chosen Ürgüp as our base, it's a small town with a numbers of hotels and restaurants and plenty of shops as well as a market, good for buying provisions for a day's hiking. Ürgüp is right in the Cappadocian landscape, and many of its houses are half built into the rocky hillsides. Upon arrival you will immediately be met by touts who will try to get you to their hotel if you haven't got one arranged, and they will try and book you onto on of their many tours of the region. Relax and don't let yourself be railroaded into anything. We sat in this guy's office while he extolled about the sights and which tours we absolutely had to sign up for, and then walked away to our hotel, refreshed from a much needed cup of tea, and full of ideas about the must-see spots!
There is plenty local transport running...
