Pelagos Bay hotel Skala Kefalonia

Advantages: Family run hotel so personal treatment
Disadvantages: none unless you don`t like holidays

Pelagos Bay has been the best holiday I have ever had! Billy,Barbara,Yanni, asthper made our holiday! This was not my usual type of holiday but we have booked later in the year Pelagos Bay Hotel is 4km out of Scala centre about 20mins pleasant walk, I suggest a taxi for the return journey! Tip ask the driver before hand how much it should be no more than 5 euro. Book yourself in for the bbq night on thursdays and Sean plays mondays (very good) ...
...your self in for the grand island tour if your not hiring a car We had such a great time we feel pelagos bay is like another home and will be returning for years to come So get yourself booked in and Relax YIA MAS ...

Doing The Timewarp

Advantages: A 70's retro feel
Disadvantages: A tedious radio station

...the Hotel, or catch the bus that passes by every 20 minutes (10am-4pm). A night in the Hotel Mediterranee will cost you about £60 per night off season, its money well spent though as the calming feel of the Hotel and its retro feel keep you levelled out. ...

The Hills are alive...

Advantages: Set in beautiful surroundings.
Disadvantages: Halfway up a big hill.

Liberatos Village – Lassi, Kefalonia **** Well, the last review I wrote four years ago was about a much needed week of rest and relaxation. Having not had another summer holiday in the last four years, it made sense to ease myself back into Ciao reviewing by following a similar subject. **** Location: **** Liberatos Village, for this year at least, was a Thomson’s only complex in the resort of Lassi, Kefalonia. Next year, the owner is planning on ...
...the route you take. Liberatos is, for some at least, in an ideal location – but only if you don’t mind walking uphill! The main resort is set alongside a main road, very close to the beach. Our apartments were away from the hustle and bustle, approximately 750m up a winding road that took you up a rather steep climb into the complex. This may sound like a problem, but it meant that there was a little more wind, making the air fresher, which left ...

The God of Wind..!

Advantages: Gorgeous location,friendly staff,great cocktails
Disadvantages: Up a very steep hill, 1.7km from main resort

I have just returned from a fabulous two week holiday in Kefalonia which is one of the Greek islands quite close to the mainland and the island of Zakynthos. As I usually do I booked my holiday way back in January on the internet and liked the look ofthis particular hotel. If not for the small property then for the picture of the pool and the stunning view. Never having been to the island before and not knowing what to expect from the level of accomodation ...
...transfer to Skala from the airport takes an hour. The roads are windy and I did grip the seat and swear on more than one occasion. The views may be stunning but then so are the sheer drops. And when the driver keeps answering his mobile phone you get a kind of lurching in your stomach resulting in the hankering for a stiff drink. As we reached our resort we were the last people to be dropped off at our accommodation. As the hotel is actually on the ...

Captain Corelli's Kefalonia - Hotel Princess

Advantages: Quiet, Relaxing, Close to Shops & Beach
Disadvantages: Hilly Landscape

Have you seen the film? If you have, you would have had to have fallen asleep to notice the beauty of this island! Kefalonia is one of the small Greek islands, offering picturesque scenery, clear blue seas and not to mention peace! One of the hotels on the island is the Princess. It's located about 25 minutes from the airport and is only 300 meters from the nearest shop / supermarket. The beach is located at about 500 meters. You only have to ...
...where you'll be staying. A small hotel having only 40 bungalow style rooms means you won't be bumping into hundreds of people! It has a large pool with enough sun beds for nearly every guest. The staff are very friendly, and always serving you with a smile. The hotel itself has its own bar restaurant, but is only good for snacks. To eat in the evenings it's easier to pop out to many of the vast restaurants available. You won't be spoilt for choice ...
