FABULOUS HOTEL!
Advantages: Everything you need in one place and excellent location! Disadvantages: none!
I have stayed in this hotel 4 times and I love it. It is in an excellent location in Shinjuku close to Shinjuku station and the main shopping area You must check out the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building which is opposite this hotel, it has a free viewing platform where you can see breathtaking views of the Tokyo skyline and Mount Fuji on a clear day!
The hotel is wonderful, staff are helpful and friendly and speak English ... ...and quite large by Tokyo hotel standards, most rooms in Tokyo hotels are tiny.
The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay including a mini bar, hairdryer, plenty of storage space, a writing desk, flat screen TV with both western and Japanese channels. There is also free high speed internet access in all rooms which is very easy to use. The views from the hotel are wonderful!

The hotel is wonderful, staff are helpful and friendly and speak English very well. The rooms are very clean and stylish and quite large by Tokyo hotel standards, most rooms in Tokyo hotels are tiny.

You should also check out the Restaurants and Gift shops located in the hotel, they are of a high quality and great prices. There is also a bakery and grocery / convenience store inside the hotel. You could easily stay here for a long time and not have to leave the hotel! The buffet breakfast is excellent and you have a choice of restaurants that provide both Japanese and Western style breakfasts. We joined the hotel loyalty card scheme free of charge and we got the buffet breakfast free every day of our stay!
I can't recommend this hotel highly enough, I visit Tokyo regularly just because I adore the city and this is certainly my favourite hotel. If you are on a budget the Shinjuku Prince is also a good choice.

Quick review of Keio Plaza Hotel, Shinjuku, Tokyo
This is a large tall hotel in the centre of Shinjuku close to the Metropolitan Offices. For many young people it is there first sight of Japan - crammed three to a room for the Annual JET Programme Induction seminar - before being sent off to teach English in schools across the country. That the government chooses this hotel tells you a lot. It is a perfectly adequate hotel - clean, central, all the basic facilities you expect but is pretty much regarded as nothing special, past its best and even a bit run down. If you are forking out for a top Tokyo hotel you can do much better. ...
