Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Everthing is first class. The rooms are 5 star plus, excellent maintenance, so comfortable, no expense spared. They even have in the bathroom, flowers floating in a vase and also initally in the toilet, never seen that before.
Boy, we were not disapointed at all. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in!!
We stayed half board and used all the restaurants all of which provide a half board menu as well as a la carte -the choice is yours if you want to splash out on an a la carte meal (which we did at the gourmet La Cupula and well worth it) but the Italian and the Japanese had good choices on the half board menu.
The buffet is of course open every evening without booking and is excellent ,providing a different theme each evening. The breakfast buffet is superb with everything you can think of. You should book the other restaurants early as they are small and take a limited number and were not open every evening. We planned our eating around the openings.
We hired a car which was a waste of money as there really is nothing to see apart from the dunes some of which are within walking distance and the hotel runs a shuttle several times a day to other dune areas.
Corralejo is very disappointing and we thought tacky but some people on B&B did eat in there in the evenings and seemed to be happy with it.
Hotel has mainly German quests and many German staff. The usual booking of beds at the pool but we always managed to get a suitable spot and the pool area was spacious ,quiet and relaxing.
Quite a few small children (still term time) but they tended to be near the kiddies pool - assume kids go free! and we saw very few in the evening. They have a kids club for them.
The spa is wonderful with waterfalls and jets and sprays in a very large pool as well as whirlpool baths ,foot spays,steamsrooms,saunas etc.
The bar area had music each evening which we enjoyed. The hotel is not for those wanting a lively holiday I would say it is for the those who want relaxing pampering,good food and wine.
Plenty of choice of restaurants out of the hotel in Corralejo which is a 20 minute walk or a few minutes taxi ride, costing about 3 euros approx each way.
Really you only need to take clothes, everything else is waiting there, toiletries etc.
Bathroom was real luxury, separate bath,shower wc etc. Daily Linen change, towels twice a day , goodnight chocs on your bed. Heaven!!! We would definatly stay here again if we returned to Fuerteventura. Weather was great, quite hot in September still.
Wonderful views across to Lobos and Lanzarote from our seaview room. Whilst we were there the tide and wind changes meant the sea was constantly changing with good waves and breaking surf most of the time.
Lovely soft cotton bed-linen, large high quality towels. The beach towels are large (cover the whole sun lounger) and luxurious.
