A nice hotel in a good location.

Advantages: Nice comfortable hotel in a lovely location.
Disadvantages: Very expensive to eat inside the hotel, don't bother!

Although I have been to London a few times, my most recent visit would be the first time I would be staying in a hotel there, as I usually stayed with a friend just outside of London. Hotels in London don't come cheap with many hotels starting at around £130 per night, and going upwards from there! We decided to stay in London for 3 nights, which isn't long enough for me but it was proving to be too expensive finding somewhere half decent for 4 nights. Searching throguh Expedia and Lastminute I actually found the Marriott Kensington to be one of the cheapest, but only because they had an offer, stay 2 nights and get 1 free! It can cost around £150 a night for this hotel so having the extra night was a huge bonus. Getting to the Hotel We went down to London on the train, arriving at King's Cross then hopping onto ...

A great city hotel - shame about the size

Advantages: A wonderful hotel in a good location
Disadvantages: rooms are on the small side

I am a huge fan of the Radisson SAS & Radisson Edwardian brand. I do like to try different hotels and when visiting London overnight, by far my favourite is Radisson Mayfair. On this particular visit however, I opted to try a different chocolate from the box so to speak... *the hotel* the selection of this hotel was not difficult. As mentioned above, I have a huge liking of all things Radisson and an especially soft spot for boutique hotels. As this establishment fits into both of those criteria and located in my favourite area of my favourite city, surely we were onto a winner? The Mountbatten is named after Lord Mountbatten, the famous favourite uncle of Prince Charles and actually includes memorabilia from Lord Mountbatten's family home. As soon as you arrive at the four star hotel, a concierge is promptly waiting to greet ...

London: Lord Kensington Hotel: Paper Thin Walls!

Advantages: Location
Disadvantages: Paper thin partition\stud walls

of things she was obviously bracing herself! It is now 1am, and I decided that enough is enough and that I will be changing rooms, so I went down to the guy in reception to request a new room. After 5 minutes of trying to wake him, he instead suggests that he would phone up and tell them to be more considerate, but I pointed out, and I said it in these exact words: "Look mate, you can't do that - you're gonna put him off his stroke man! It's not their fault that the sound insulation in your hotel is RUBBISH!" Anyway, after about 10 minutes of arguing with the guy, I bullied him into allocating me a different room on the floor above and off to the right! However, after that I found it quite hard to get off to sleep - but at least I wasn't where all the action is! At 3 am, I heard an altercation between between porno room ...
