I've stayed at the hotel 2 years running and in my opinion, it's great. It has a mixture of traditional ensuite hotel rooms, with loft (two storey) rooms on the first floor. These vary in size and use a combination of double beds and bunk beds. The hostel located in the basement is very spacious with it's own wide screen tv, dvd, leather sofa's, as well as a good sized dining area. It has a separate kitchen with plenty of storage areas and fridge's, plus good quality cooking utensils. People staying in the hotel rooms above are also able to use these facilities. There is also a laundry room with washing machines and dryers, which is great, as you don't need to pack loads of clothes. You also have a good view of the volleyball court and any bears that might wander into town. Both hotel and hostel rooms in my opinion are clean and tidy. The breakfasts are brilliant in the Bugaboo Cafe and the location is good for exploring the surrounding area. You must go up the cable car and visit the Eagle's Eye restaurant. It's the highest mountain restaurant in Canada, with breath taking views. The food is excellent as well. In the Summer you can experience, as we did, horse riding, white water rafting down the Kicking Horse River, hiking down the Kicking horse Mountain and Mountain biking. We've not skied there yet but it's supposed to be a very good powder resort.
