Irvine Soap for Irvine Folk

Advantages: See Review
Disadvantages: Not a holiday hot spot, by any means!

Well, I thought it was about time that I wrote a little about the place that is my home. Not the place where I was born, but the place where we live now ? the Royal Burgh Of Irvine, in North Ayrshire, Scotland. Now, doesn?t that sound grand? Ok, geography lesson first. -------------------------------- For those who don?t know, and I imagine that is most readers who are not Scottish, the town of Irvine lies on the West Coast of Scotland, approximately 30 miles SW of Glasgow. It is about six miles north Of Troon, which should be a reference point for the golfers, and about fourteen miles north of Ayr, which should be a reference for all you hi-de-hi-ers out there who have spent many a miserable holiday at Butlin?s holiday camp, now owned by Haven! You with me now? Good. Two rivers join the Firth of Clyde at Irvine, namely ...

Eddie Irvine = Terrible Driver

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Where should I begin?

Why do people think Eddie Irvine is a good driver? To be honest he is terrible. Look at him now in a Jaguar car, he can barely qualify in the top 10. Put Michael Schumacher in the same car and he would be on pole. Remember those times at Ferrari? His average finishing time was 1 minute 15 seconds behind the man. He was only contending for the championship because Schumacher broke his leg and Irvine had the best car. Despite that, he still couldn't win it. He only won when Hakkinen's engine failed. Ross Brawn, the technical director at Ferrari said it all a couple of months ago when he told Rubens Barrichello, Irvines excellent replacement, "You have done more than Irvine in four weeks than he did in four years". That just about rounds it up. Irvine is a cocky, pathetic driver who doesn't even deserve to drive for a poor team like Jaguar. ...

Review of Eddie Irvine

From Scurdy to Kingsley...

Advantages: Confortable, Friendly, Nice wholesome breakfasts.
Disadvantages: Creaky floors and Stairs. Slight lack of communication.

Back in June I attended a Ciao meet in Dundee which was organised by the lovely Belinda (belfin to you all) and wanted to stay in nearby Arbroath from Friday to Sunday so I could attend Belinda's hen night celebrations. I didn't want anything too expensive but also wanted a little comfort and so thought a guesthouse would be my best bet. So scouring the internet I came up with a few possibilities and this seemed ideal for my needs. I used the www.hotelsandguesthouses.net website to search for my accommodation; this is where each guesthouse has their own advertising page and where you can contact them from. I decided upon Scurdy guesthouse. (I know this review is about Kingsley; all will be made clear as you read on) I used the contact button to enquire about availability of a room about 4 weeks prior to my visit and to get a price ...
