The Woodlands is an ideal base to explore the Waterford crystal factory, the Art galleries, the town centre with its great shopping and some beautiful unspoilt beaches. It is also a great base to explore the surrounding cities of Wexford and Kilkenny. However, if you are a golf fanatic then Waterford is the place for you with 3 golf courses within a half hour drive.
Ask the hotel staff for details, they will be more than happy to oblige

Advantages: Friendly staff, good food, good leisure facilities Disadvantages: A little bit dated and not all facilites are on par with other hotels

The K-Club has a slight advantage over Mount Juliet. There is little to choose between them as far as the golf or facilities are concerned, but the K-Club is only half an hour’s drive from Dublin city centre, whereas its rival is located miles from nowhere in the wilds of Kilkenny.
~ ~ That the K-Club has managed secure the right to host the Ryder Cup in 2005 is a feather in the cap not only for Dr. Smurfit, but for the whole Irish nation, as this match is not only watched by countless thousands of spectators, but is viewed on live TV by millions of others, from almost every country in the world.
