Advantages This was a great hote, fab pool

Disadvantages if you had a corner room the balcony was very small

Hotel Kilma
This was the first ever Hotel that I stayed at in Tunisia, and enjoyed four holidays there, but unfortunately it was dropped back in 2001 from the English Holiday companies, although the Hotel is now owned by another group and you can book direct with the hotel.

Travel from UK /Tunisia / Hotel
Most of the airports in UK fly to Tunisia, previously most tour companies would fly into Monastir, but this airport has been replaced by a new airport in Enfidia, an average flight from Manchester is 3hr 15mins, and from Birmingham 3hrs. You need a Visa to enter the country, there is no cost for this, and these can be filled in at the airport, you fill in a small A5 size card, and half is kept at the airport on entrance to the country, and you hand the remaining part on your return log.
Hammamet, is located about 65km from Tunis, and the two main airports in Tunisia, are Tunis and the new one Enfidia, whether you can still fly into Monastir, I am not sure, but the journey is approximately 1hr from the airports.

Beach Access
The Hotel does not have direct beach front access, but you just cross the road, and the beautiful golden sands of the beach are there and the hotel has its own section on the beach with facilities such as beach bar. It takes less than 5 minutes to reach the beach.

The Hotel
The Hotel is in two sections, when you arrive at the hotel, this is the main building, this houses, reception, cashier for changing your currency, the nightclub, where entertainment is held, the restaurant, bar and also inside swimming pool, and there was a beauticians as well. The accommodation is built above this level, there was lifts in the main building, the has two or three floors, as hotels in the area are generally low rise buildings. The rooms here have a terrace, are twin bedded, and bathroom, with toilet, washbasin, bath with the overhead shower.

You then come out of the exit of the level you have come in on, and cut across the grassed area, this is where the outdoor swimming pool is, this is a lovely size, family friendly, as you walk into a shallow end, and then had a free flow element. Just across from here is the second accommodation block, this is three stories high, again there was no lifts, the rooms were laid out as the main building, the ground floor rooms had a terrace, and the upper floors have a balcony, although if you have a corner room your balcony s very small, and in all honestly two of you could not sit comfortably on it.

Prices
At the moment, they have offers of bed and breakfast from 30 Euros per night, but this can be done as on-line bookings, there are pubs / restaurants within walking distance, as well as a 5 minute taxi ride into Hammamet town, so there is plenty of choice to eat.

I loved this hotel, the staff was always friendly, you were made welcome, and I have very good memories.
