Rooms rates are about 130Ringgit which is about £25, up to 280Ringgit - about £45, which compared to how much we have to pay in the UK is an absolute steal!!!
You get breakfast included with the higher price rooms but access to the health suite is open to all. The excellent facilities extend to the pool gym and sauna/steam rooms - they are without fault.
The restaurants inside the hotel are, again typical for Malaysia, excellent food at entirely reasonable prices. But if you want a taste of the real island then just hop along the road towards the town centre - there are literally hundreds of restuarants, ask the Concierge for advice. If you arrive late as I did on my first night then don't hestitate to use the spectacular room service - I ordered Chicken Satay, Chefs Salad, Meat...

...Malaysia is a beautiful country especially in Penang where I stayed for 2 nights by the coast. I enjoyed my visit greatly, full of culture and fun. The restaurants were fabulous especially the sea food restaurants where they offer quite good value sea food. On the other side of the scale there is the night market where food is one of its main focus, with its multi colored sweetcorn, cold deserts, and snacks. One of the most exciting moments was when the snake temple with snakes all over the place. I didn't stay in there for long! Transfer from the hotel did not take long and a drive to mainland Malaysia is a very enjoyable one with lots to see....

...For all travellers out there, this is a must place to visit if you do come to Malaysia. Penang, also known as the Pearl of the Orient, has bountiful of places to sample the local dishes and cuisines. Being an island, it has plenty of restaurants serving delicious sea foods and not to forget the famous Penang laksa, a type of spicy noodles. There are also stretches of beach which housed some of the most famous hotels in Malaysia. The easiest way to get the best out of Malaysian food is to visit the Gurney drive where you can find a stretch of small hawker stalls selling Malaysian food ranging from noodles to smoked squids! Price wise is really cheap, you can get a lot of food without spending a fortune....
