Advantages Large Place, Some Interesting Characteristics
Disadvantages Very Poorly Maintained Toilets

I recently enjoyed a pint in the King & Queen Pub in Brighton having been enticed there by its black and white timber structure and medieval design. Having settled down in the Beer Garden however and reading about the history of this place from a plaque that hangs on the wall there, I did feel somewhat cheated to discover that this building was only actually constructed between 1931-32. I have always had a bit of a fascination with old Pubs and from the outer appearance there was nothing to suggest that this was a relatively new building. Quick review of King and Queen Public House, Brighton by fanning 13/11/2008

staying in brighton would not be the same without king and queen it should be visited on fri or sat night or tue when karaoke is on, allways a great mix of students from all over the world old characters and lots of real brighton locals,the landlord is allways happy and his wife loves a good old knees up mother brown. the staff are friendly and the door staff second to none. not sure about live music on fridays.still best beer garden in brighton. less

When the EDL came to Brighton on 30th August 2010, they arranged to meet in at least two well known Brighton pubs: The Railway Bell and The King and Queen. The very fact that The King and Queen has opened its doors on more than one occasion to The EDL; a profoundly racist, profoundly stupid and extremely violent group of thugs, means that they support their extremely racist and dangerous babble.If you feel as strongly as I do about racist thugs like the EDL, then please do not ever visit this pub. Instead ,please do as I do and when asked about Brighton pubs, tell as many people as possible ... more

Disadvantages NEGATIVITY AND PEOPLES ABILTY NOT TO UNDERSTAND AND STILL USE THE PUB.

On Sunday, the 25th of April 2010. This pub held a EDL/BNP event where they hurled disgraceful, aggressive abuse at Anti- Fascist young people protesting against Neo- Nazi racist, sick, sad, deluded, Backwards can't believe this still goes on today violent views! And after the protest was over they perpetrated their hatred by jumping out of cars attacking young people going home, that are still younger enough go to school (And I few of my friends were hurt). Can you believe the wickedness of these people? Nevertheless, what I also can't believe is the pub the King and Queen, owner and staff ... more
