I decided to treat my mum and me to a short break to AbuDhabi last year and choose the Millennium Hotel to stay in. We managed to find a taxi easily enough at AbuDhabi airport and after a short drive (30mins) we arrived at the hotel. On first impressions I was a little disappointed. I had all these grand images in my head, but in reality the hotel seemed pretty standard.
The room itself was quite basic (considering the price we paid), but it was clean and the beds were very comfortable.
The hotel does have a nice swimming pool (although a little on the small side) and area for catching some sun.
Getting around AbuDhabi was fairly easy, taxi's are always available and very cheap.
One trip I would recommend is the desert safari and evening barbecue. Driving up and down the sand dunes in the deserts was thrilling, I was ...

I've spent about 4years of my life living in the Beach Rotana Suites and it was amazing. Staff is always ready to help you, the rooms are always clean, it is very safe to leave all your personal belongings anywhere in the room reallty, as I've never heard of anyone being robbed out there.
Food is delicious, there are restaturants with various cuisines form all over the world, and the prices ae quite reasonable.
Even though the hotel is now neighbouring with some construction works, I am still going to choose it the next time I visit AbuDhabi.
There is also Zen Spa, offering you fantastic ways to relax, a playground for the children, and a creche. The fitness centre and swmming pools are also fantwastic.
After a day at the pool and the beach you can take a lift from the hotel straight to AbuDhabi Mall.

I wasn't expecting too much from this hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. My husband was being sent on a few days business trip to Dubai during the school half term, and I decided to tag along at the last minute with our two kids. With only a day to go I didn't expect a great choice of hotels. Sure enough, the only hotels coming up with suitable vacancies were the Kempinski at $850 a night (no thank you!) and this one, at $170 a night. I was a bit confused though as several hotel finder sites put it as Dubai, but the address was AbuDhabi. Looking on the map we found why, it is nearly exactly haflway between the two emirates. As my husband was working quite nearby and we had a hire car, this was not a problem.
