As the manager as wrote in a previous review, you can indeed ask for a quiet room. Quiet room means a room about 50 metres away from the bar. Not good enough with a low quality building!!
I did ask for a quite room. It was ... ...the noise and music coming from the bar was unbearable. The Hotel might say that they have refurbished the hotel, blah, and blah. All FALSE. I have to go to Galway quite frequently, and I've been 3 times to this hotel just to give them a change simply because the staff is nice, the food is good and it's good overall.

I did ask for a quite room. It was supposed to be quite, and away from the Bar. But the noise and music coming from the bar was unbearable. But there's simply no way to sleep in this hotel before 2am. Paper thin walls, poor quality double glazed windows and a noisy bar just metres away make this an awful place to stay. You just can not rest.
To make things worse, I spoke to the manager to complain. Obviously, I requested a refund, as I could only sleep 3 hours and paid close to 100 euros + 50 euros in meals. He refused to do so (he just gave me a discount 15-20 euros). He did NOT believe me.
