I've stayed at the Kingsway Hall a couple of times, always on business and have never had a bad experience. I always book via online discounters (laterooms.com, discountcityhotels.com etc). I have obtained some seriously good deals from £70 per night for a large double room with Breakfast. The longest stay has been four days. The Hotel is a 4* deluxe, its website www.kingswayhall.co.uk, provides lots of detail about the hotel including restaurant menus.
The Rooms are always spotlessly clean, well decorated with nice furnishings. Unfortunately they don't particularly have lots of character, true of many central London Hotels. The ensuites have always been decent sized and good quality, with power showers and baths, not to mention really nice fluffy towels. .
The Hotel itself is well located in Covent Garden. It is surprisingly quiet and relaxing. The Leisure facilities are fairly limited, there isn't a swimming pool althouth the gym is reasonably well equipped and there are steam rooms. The staff have always come across as being extremely helpful and pleasant. The concierge are extremely helpful.
Bar prices are a little high, in common with virtually every London hotel I've ever visited, but the location means that there are lots of bars in close proximity to the hotel. The restaurant serves good tasty food although the menu in my view is fairly limited and uninspiring. A three course a la carte meal is around £35 (plus wine). The chunky chips are pretty good, they do a nice steak and the lambs liver is really nice, desserts were a bit of a disappointment. The Dessert menu is limited, what's on it is nice but it is limited. Nothing on the a la carte jumped out and bit me as being particularly memorable. The wine list is a bit on the pricey side.
Breakfast is however pretty good. Well cooked quality ingredients, it really set me up for the day
As a whole my stays at the Kingsway Hall have been enjoyable and extremely pleasant. Above all else the thing that really strikes me about the hotel is that the whole ambience of the place makes it incredibly pleasant to stay in what is an almost an oasis of calm.
Will I go back, yes - well depends which hotels are offering the best deals but it is worth a visit

I'd love to stay somewhere like this but luckily I have family in London so no hotels for me, helpful review though

One of these days I hope to be able to afford to stay in 4* hotels. Check out my reviews for the quality of establishment I usually stay in! Good review ;-)
