I've been a member of Holmes Place in Maidenhead now for some years. It's conveniently located for me near to work, so it's an ideal place to go at lunchtime to prevent me wandering around the shops and frittering my money on things I don't really need.
There are two types of membership - peak and off peak. Peak means you can go in whenever you want, and off peak restricts you to being able to go in any time during weekdays up to 4.30pm and any time at weekends.
Up until last month I was paying £44 a month for off peak membership. I understand that peak membership is £48 a month but this is for corporate membership. Membership is higher still for non-corporate members. I'm lucky, because my medical insurance now allows me membership at £25 a month peak, which is significantly cheaper.
