Kitano New York, New York City

Advantages: Five star, good service, nice resturant, well situated for shopping and sighe seeing as well as for business
Disadvantages: Slow internet in rooms, Expensive but value for money

...I wanted to stay at the Plaza Hotel but for some reason it was fully booked. I wonder why? Oh yes there was that Hollywood Wedding going on! On my last visit to New York (late November 2000), I wished to stay in a hotel in which I would be treated as a person, instead as just another a tourist. (I found this when I stayed in a 2/3 star hotel). I would recommend that if you can afford it, go for atleast a 4/5 star hotel. I was not disappointed, with The Kitano Hotel. The Kitano Hotel is run by the Japanese and well, the service and friendliness of all the staff was excellent. The Hotel is on Park Avenue, about three blocks down from Grand Central Station (Two blocks from 5th Avenue). It is a first class hotel with an award winning chef. ...So how does everyone rate New York??? This metropolitan city, all races, all faces, all styles are allowed and usually welcomed but in this day in age should we be predudice, if we do not believe what someone else does should they be mocked???? Of course not but many in new york mock others for their styles, music, opinions, clothes but these people show originallity in an already unoriginal world. These poor individuals are styphuled by arrogat beacrocratic new yorkers. Now the people can be pigs at times in New York most of the rest of it is fine the big city is one of the best places to shop and just hang out with friends and loved ones. Great. Long Island, the people here are much more friendly away from the bustle of the crowds and especially Julie my girlfriend she is fantastic and i urge everyone to visit this cosmopolitan... Advantages: many stores and attactions
Disadvantages: confusing

...New York is a city of business. But it's also a city of tourism and culture with it's great museums and attractions. Everybody should go tere and try out the New York subway. The amount of different people and places are amazing. Central park is a must. They have the cleanest park I have ever seen and have these floral arrangements that are fabulous. But you can't forget about shopping, it's just too hard, there's too many stores to choose from. Overall, New York city is fantastic to visit but personnally, I find it too confusing to live in....
