traveller flying in or out of Auckland. Each of the hostel units, sleeping up to four people, has its own ensuite bathroom and kitchen facilities and is set in attractive park-like gardens. Also on site is a fully licensed restaurant and bar, serving breakfast and dinner.
Advantages: Good shops and duty free, excellent staff, new terminal well designed. Disadvantages: busy, can be daunting, airport tax.
...This is a lovely airport, plenty of shops, good duty free and is the best place to change your money on the way home. There is a small bus terminus where umpteen free hotel buses pick up very frequently, so you could hop a free lift to wherever you want to go in the surrounding area. The staff are friendly and efficient, and will help you if you get stuck or lost. Remember to pay your airport tax at the machine after you have checked your case in on your return, and don't forget to buy your souvenir Saki!...

Advantages: Very near to Central London Disadvantages: It is a very large airport
...has been of Terminal one, of both Domestic and International flights, both going from this Terminal. I suggest anyone travelling on a Domestic flight, eat their lunch or buy their duty frees in the main area, before passing through to the departures area. The Domestic lounge is very small and all they have is one cafe and a very small WH Smiths. The Departures area for International flights is slightly better - There is a Burger King, Pret a Manger as well as many cafes. The shops are typical 'duty free', but there is a wide variety. Prices are the same as many other internationalairports of the same size.
One thing to remember about Terminal 1 is that some of the boarding gates for your flight are quite a distance. Some of the gates numbered 40-50 are a good 10 minutes walk, and there are only a couple of 'moving' walkways to help you...

Advantages: Free internet Disadvantages: Gate changes
...I have flown into and out of Pittsburgh InternationalAirport (PIT) many times during the cause of my exchange student exchange year in the USA. And I have yet to have a bad experience there. All the staff I have talked with have been friendly and professional manor. There is the occasional gate change witch can be annoying. All in all its one of the best airports I have been to, very well signed and easy to get around.
Security
On my fist time out of PIT I was selected for extra screening, I would say this took no more can 3 minuets extra. All the other times I have passed through security was handled quickly.
Shopping and Food
There are plenty of shops for last minuet gifts, books and gadgets that you normally get at airports. There are also many franchised food chains, all with fast service.
Toilets

When we booked our holiday to a cabin Norway I made a fundamental error and miscalculated the time it would take to get from Oslo Gardemeon airport to the fjord area of Norway. With a distance of 293km (182 miles) I thought that we could easily cover the more
A flight from Gatwick - the only option for our recent holiday to Bermuda - meant we needed one night's accommodation near to the airport itself, to ensure we had no hold ups on the morning. As we would also need 12 nights parking I scoured the internet more
