I grew up in the LIttle Karoo and the place was an ostrich mecca! Still is but they mostly sell the meat which is very healthy. The Klein Karoo has lots of attractions. The main town is Oudtshoorn and most of the tourism attraction are near it. There's the Kango Caves which is a must to see. Then there are the Highgate and Safari Ostrich farms where you can ride on ostriches. On the way to the Kango caves there's the buffelsdrift game farm where you can walk with elephants and enjoy a nice meal and have a view over the buffelsdrift dam. There are also a place near the Cango caves where you can ride on camels. There are also a few whine estates near Oudtshoorn where you can see how they produce one of our local wines Grundheim. There are also the crocodile farm and snakepark.
You would like peace and quietness of the Little Karoo.
