Me and my friend decided to go on holiday so next day we went and booked it and we had never even heard of kos but we was told it was a very lively young place to go so we booked it, I came to kos in august 2005, the airport is a nightmare its so small it took us about 3 hours to be able to get our bags, then the trip to the hotel was about half an hour maybe longer i didnt really notice i was having fun looking around. The hotel we stayed in was the kardamos which was a really friendly hotel the staff are so nice and helpful, reception is open 24hours so you leave your key with them and pick it up when you get back which is a really good idea as there is a fine for losing it. The rooms were really basic but great for a clubbing holiday which is what I was on. Its actually really cheap to eat and drink in kos, grab the Pr's outside the bars and restaurants if they don't grab your first they can give you some great deals. The food portions are massive we hardly ever finished a whole meal. It is a very active resort and I think it is suitable for all ages in the days theres loads of trips, boat trips, bike trips and mountain trips then at night its very lively, some great bars and even better clubs open until as late as 7am, but if its not clubs your after there are some great greek patrys with plate smashing and everything. Yes its true that the bars aint aloud to play music after midnight but so many of the bars has had glass fitted so they are now allowed to play music, the bars without music well you don't even notice your be having so much fun. I didn't think the starlight club was that great but go to the foam party there on Saturday nights there crazy other than that go status best club on the island find a status pr in the square and get a card so you get free entry. You have to go to bonkers bar the owner there is great. Don't book any boat trips or any thing off your rep go down to the town and book it yourself for half the price. The beach is really nice and theres a few bars along there who have PR's who come over and take your drink orders so you don't even need to move just lay and drink. You do have to hire the sun loungers on the beach I think there were about 3 euros which is nothing. if laying around aint you thing there are loads of banana boats, ski's things and the normal. Go to nemo restaurant its very well known on the island and the staff are so funny we had them singing and dancing, it was like a free show with you gorgeous dinner best food we had, it is a bit more expensive then most places but still cheap. You can get a boat to bodrum in turkey for about £15 you should go there for the day it's a great shopping trip or just for site seeing like the bodrum castle. I would recommend every body any age to go to kos.
