I've been to five or six Greek islands, but Kos is still my favourite.
Kos is one of the most beautiful and sunniest islands in the Aegean Sea. It is the third biggest of the Dodecanese (meaning twelve in greek) Islands. It has historic monuments, beautiful weather virtually all year round and it's white sand beaches are lapped by crystal clear water. Am I painting an enticing picture so far?
Kos Town is the Island's capital and there you can get away from beachlife for a while and steep yourself in some Greek history by visiting the historic monuments. The town has modern broad streets bordered with trees, big squares, and houses with gardens. You will hit by the fact that there are so much greenery and trees around, fir, pine tree, cypress, eucalyptus, oak, jarmine, lilac, acacia and hibiscus. Take a stroll on the rock paved streets of the old town where you will find more tourist shops and when it gets dark there is a variety of restaurants and tavernas with Greek and international cuisine.
The resort of Kardamena, also was fantastic. Great beaches, quaint old fishing port. Good selection of nightlife.
Can't wait to go again
