This holiday in Kos is quite possibly the best holiday we have been on. It was taken as a late deal and only cost us £100 each plus £20 for insurance through Travel Choice. We particularly wanted to go to Greece as we had heard such good reports about the weather and things to do. The apartments that we stayed in were fairly basic but this didnt matter at all as we were hardly ever there. Trips were really good value if booked off site, not from the reps, we went to Bubble Beach where a live volcano under the sea bed causes bubbles, just like a jacuzzi all around you! Another trip worth doing is up to the highest point of the Island to Zia which is a little village which offers all its own produce, lace, spices,pottery etc to holiday makers. There is a super restuarant there which offers a rooftop area where you can enjoy views all around the island. Although we didnt have time there is also the option of a day trip to Turkey which is great (so we were told) for stocking up on all you 'designer' gear. Choice of restuarants were excellent, great choice for veggies, although more expensive to dine on the seafront than anywhere else, we thought it was worth it though. Beaches are also superb, resort suits a wide range of holiday makers from singles, couples and families. Great all round holiday. Dont miss it is you have got the chance.

Advantages: Good weather. Plenty of good beaches. Small enough to explore. Friendly locals. ferries available for 'Island Hopping' Disadvantages: Nightmare Airport. Queues are the norm even for night flights. High season main beaches get very crowded. Limited cuisine. Not for those seeking 4 /5 Star Hotel standards
