Anyway it was hard, very hard. After two months we all in our section passed out and gained our colour's. We we're no longer prisioner's, we could now contact home if we so wished, also we could apply for a night pass, and go out for a night. My French was coming on too! which really helped.
I was transferred to 3e Regiment Estranger g'Infanterie. This was in Kourou, French Guiana. here I completed my regiment training.
