The recently opened Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at Sepang is a high-tech,cutting-edge,airport in the forest.Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation,KLIA has state-of-the art facilities including a magnificent passenger terminal, satellite terminal which is reached by a sophisticated aero train, first rate duty free and catering outlets and ample car parking facilities. It is designed to handle 25 million passengers per year and can be expanded to handle 40 million passengers. At present around 30 airlines use the airport and there are also a number of tour and travel companies with offices at the KLIA. Ground handling facilities and services are generally good,my major criticism concerns the signage which is rather small. Although a very sophisticated baggage handling system has been installed the retrieval of baggage does sometimes appear to take a long time.
