Malaysia consist of 2 islands and has 14 states. The capital city in Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur. The official religion in this country is Islam and majority of the population here consists of muslim. The main ethnic here are Malay, Chinese and Indian. The weather here is sunny and wet for the whole year. Let say about 24 - 33 Celcius. Around September, it will be very wet as it is the monsoon season. It is wise to use train/tube for travelling around the city, as traffic jam is very hectic in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur especially. Malay language is the official language here, but English is the 2nd language and is widely spoken. So you should find no problem of asking directions.

If you are looking for ADVENTURE in Malaysia, you should go to Sabah or Sarawak. There are lots of places that provide rock climbing, mountain climbing, jungle trecking. If you are lucky, you will get the chance to see Rafflesia flower! And if you want to see one of the extinct animal in the world, you should go to Sabah, where they have a safari for ORANG UTAN there.

If you are looking for ENTERTAINMENT in Malaysia, the most popular place is Genting Highland Theme Park. It's a little bit cold here, just around 19-23 Celcius i would say. There are Casinos, Game Arcade, Theme park and the scene is just breath taking! Lots of bars and pubs can be find in the central of the Kuala Lumpur City for night life entertainment. And the city will be full of colourful lights at night.

For SHOPPING, you should consider going to Midvalley Megamall, not very far from KL city. its a 5 km shopping complex, with leisure and dining choices. Has more than 430 shops on 5 and half floors! It also houses Asia's largets Cineplex and Gym. Not to mention Bowling Centre, One-Stop IT centre, Carrefour, and mega MPH bookstore.

There will be shopping season in Malaysia, about 3 months per season. So you should find out more the timing if u decide you wanna spend your money here for shopping.

For TOURIST ATTRACTION or HOLIDAY VACATION mood, you should go to Pulau Langkawi or Pulau Redang. The beach there are just superb! Try to avoid Port Dickson as it is not very clean as advertised. Sabah and Sarawak have very clean beach too.

Try to go to Cameron Highlands and you can visit tea farm and the factory. Lots of fresh and dried flowers, in variety colours can be obtain here. And it is also a little bit cooler, around 18-22 Celcius.

The main attraction in Malaysia is the KLCC Twin Tower and Kuala Lumpur Tower. There's shopping complex in KLCC Twin Tower (most of them labelled brand) and the only KLCC Philharmonic Hall. The building design is fascinating and if u dont have the chance to go to the Kuala Lumpur Tower, you could still view the City from the KLCC bridge. It is open to visitors for certain time and free entrance. At Kuala Lumpur Tower, there is a 'moving' restaurant (there's McD too). So if u sit in the restaurant, u can see the 360 degree of the view from the tower.

i went to Malaysia to finish my diploma there, about a year. There are lots of interesting places in Malaysia, but for now, that's all i can think about. ;)
