Kyiv Borispol (KBP) is the international airport serving the Ukrainian capital, Zhulyany (IEV) carries domestic traffic only. Borispol is therefore the airport through which most western visitors to Ukraine travel (unless you are arriving by some devious route). Borispol lies about 34km (20 miles) from the centre of Kyiv. I visited 3 airports in Ukraine and can tell you for sure - you cannot even compare Kiev Borispol airport to any other airport in Ukraine, even to Zhulyani airport which operates domestic flights only. This is a pretty nice international airport with all you expect to see in the airport. Everything went perfect before I went out from customs to arrival zone where all the taxi drivers meet visitors... by the way - all my friends scared me that baggage handlers in kiev damage bags and steel something - not in my case - everything was good.
