The Place Messena sits in central Nice and is the best place to start any visit to the city. It's a open square (piazza) which hints at the areas pre-French history.
Place Messena is only a short walk from the bus station, (follow the park towards the sea), and from the railway station turning left walk for only a couple of minutes you reach walk down Avenue Jean Medicin (away from the bridge/fly-over & the brilliantly named Maison du Pantalons!). The bus from the airport goes past the Place Messena before reaching the bus station on the fountain side. The Tourist Information office is only about 5 minutes walk away along the sea front, (away from the old town/hill).
Place Messen has been largely pedestrianised and will have trams running through it, (when they're finished). On my first visit it was busy with cars and traffic ...
Advantages: excellent colour Disadvantages: Quite hard to make sure youve applied it to all areas.
I have recently gone from blonde back to my natural colour and my hairdresser told me that despite putting a permanent brown on top of the blonde, it will fade and I would need to go back and keep having semi permanent dye on it to build up the pigment. Now I am trying to save a few pennies at the moment so decided to give it a go myself. I kept putting it off and putting it off until my hair got to the point where it looked quite gingery. It was only by chance that I was looking at the reduced aisle in Tesco and saw a box of this ?Nice and Easy? hair dye for just £1.80. I know nothing about the ?good and bad? of hair dye so thought this was probably as good as any.
In the box I got two bottles of dye which were suppose to be mixed together and shaken and then applied to the hair immediately. I also got a big pouch of conditioner ...
Advantages: Good even multi-tonal hair colour. Disadvantages: Just the clearing up after.
I have used Clairol Nice'n easy permanent hair colour for at least 20 years and have been highly satisfied each and every time with the outcome.
Having a daughter hairdresser, I can always get a good cut and the only job left for me to do is to hide the ever increasing grey. A spare 30 minutes can usually be found every 5-6 weeks to apply the colour.
The range of colours is vast starting at somewhere around No.96 which is the lightest blonde and going through the range to Blue/black. I use 101 which is Natural Baby Blonde and now that Clairol have incorporated blends into the colour to give a multi-tonal look, I feel that my own natural hair colour is in there somewhere.!
The complete kit retails for around £4.75, but look out for offers and sometimes they can be ,Buy one Get one free, if you are lucky enough to spot them.
