Creme de la Merde!

Advantages: This 'designer' cream will turn your bathroom shelf into a shrine.
Disadvantages: Your bank manager will none too pleased.

I have read nothing but rave reviews about Creme de la Mer, an A-list moisturiser with an A-list price tag attached. Magazines are forever gushing about this product, associating words such as 'miracle' and 'extraordinary' to it so naturally curiosity got the better of me. Now although I can be somewhat of a beauty product victim and quite impulsive, even I know that forking out around eighty-eight quid for an itsy tub (30ml!) of this wonder is just plain ridiculous. So I sought to foreign lands, the U S of A to be precise, with hope that I could purchase the product for a fraction of the price - this was roughly about a year ago folks, before recession, when the value of the pound was almost two dollars, and so I managed to get hold of it at just over a hundred dollars with postage and packaging which luckily worked out no more than ...

Review of Creme de la Mer Creme de la Mer Face Cream

Creme de la mer face cream

Advantages: You see results quickly
Disadvantages: Expensive

I had heard about crème de la mer in the press & looked at the price & thought how ridiculously overpriced. Even though I was intrigued I thought there's no way I can justify spending that much. However things were about to change - fast forward to 3 years later & I have had the worst skin problems with spots & scarring - they seemed never ending & I was beginning to get fed up of always having horrible skin. Then one day complaining to a friend she recommended using crème de la mer. She has been using it for about 5 years & has the most amazing skin - so off I went to Selfridges & got the 30ml pot - I thought I don't want to splash out too much so I thought I'll use this size to try it out. I've been using the creme morning & night on recommendation of my friend to get maximum benefits - this has worked very well for me. It also ...

Review of Creme de la Mer Creme de la Mer Face Cream

Tristan and Isolde,

Advantages: an enjoyable plot and convincing dialogue well executed, good photography and direction.
Disadvantages: historically and politically naive

I had never previously heard of this film before watching it, and wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover a charming, well-executed romantic historical tale which moved along with sufficient aplomb to keep me entertained from beginning to end. The film is set in the British Isles after the fall of Rome, and the Irish are warring with the fragmented tribal states of England. Against this backdrop the film depicts a love story between the English Tristan (James Franco) and the Irish Isolde (Sophia Myles)- after falling into a coma and thought to be dead, Tristan is set out on a burning funeral boat across the channel and ends up washed ashore on the Irish mainland, where he is nurtured back to health by Isolde, the daughter of the sly and machiavellian leader of the Irish tribes. They fall in love, but Isolde ...
