The facades of gothic buildings are dominated by the Hotel de Ville, built in the fifteenth century. Its 96m spire is topped with a gilded copper statue of St-Michael. Opposite the Town Hall, and almost as grand, is the Maison du Roi, commissioned in 1515 and faithfully rebuilt in the 1890s. It now houses the city museum. A series of lavish Guildhouses complete the rectangle of the Grand Place.

Advantages: Everything you could want under one (massive) roof Disadvantages: Located at the southern end of "The Strip" - so a bit of a walk to some attractions...
...to gamble (then why come to Vegas ?) there's the MASSIVE 29,000-square-foot, Japanese-style "Grand Spa" that features saunas, steam rooms, spas, a fitness center and plush relaxation rooms.
For further entertainment, there's the MASSIVE Grand Garden Arena (17,157 sets) and the smaller, 740 seat Hollywood Theatre where famous celebs perform. Madonna playing the Grand Garden Arena on May 27 this year, and Tom Jones
is on at the Hollywood Theatre from April 27 - May 10 ! In addition, La Femme french dance troupe "direct from the original Crazy Horse in Paris" and the spectacular modern circus troupe Cirque du Soleil have standing shows.
The MGM Grand also has nightclubs; Teatro Euro Bar, Tabú, and a recreation of the world-famous Studio 54 !

Advantages: Magnificent resort hotel. Self contained. Good rewards. A superb well maintained self contained Resort hotel complex adjacent to DisneyWorld. More than enough things to keep interests aroused. Disadvantages: Could be considered expensive.
...are told that the hurricane shutter windows can be opened up to give the restaurant an open air feel.
We only managed a glimpse of the fifth restaurant - La Coquina – which is situated downstairs as it was closed off for a variety of functions. It also advertises a champagne brunch.
OTHER FACILITIES
The Grand Cypress prides itself on its conference and exhibition capabilities. To one side of the atrium a wide corridor leads off to the exhibition hall proper, a suite of conference rooms and theatres and a huge ballroom.
There is a small arcade of shops which stocks a variety of leisure wear for both men and women – some of which are suitably embroidered ‘Grand Cypress’. There is the regulation stock of trinkets, knick-knacks and souvenirs, with only a token nod to The Big Cheese who lives next door. Interestingly these shops...

I stayed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for 3 nights and 4 days in August 2008 and can honestly say I had a great time. Please let me warn you that this is a fairly lengthy review of my experience.
