Advantages: Cheap, good quality rooms, very close to the local amenities, wireless available Disadvantages: None
We stayed at the pergolahotel in Mellieha for a week from the 17th august for a week, the views from the hotel are amazing, they have two swimming pools, one is indoor and heated, whereas the other is outdoor and not heated, however the weather in malta when we were out there was over 100 at some times, so no need for the heater.
Near the outdoor pool there is a bar area which is themed to be located inside the opening to a cave, there is also a restaurant which serves excellent food, it is family friendly as they serve chips, burgers, pizzas and also catery for vegetarians offering salads and other meals.
Just below the restaurant after taking the lift there is a games room with the popular snooker table, various shooting games, a racing game, pinball machine and some old retro style fighting machines. Something else to keep ...
Advantages: The view! Worth a million pounds, but you get it at a reasonable price Disadvantages: Some find rather old fashioned, but it has a certain charm

On the main coast road leading to Amalfi the hotel has pride of place along the seafront. Sitting on top of a cliff face means optimum views are afforded, and every room offers stunning sea views.
I last visited the HotelLa Bussola in 2005 and it was just as good as I remembered it from the previous year. We booked two standard double bedrooms, which were a million miles away from standard. The beds were comfy and in large airy rooms , air condition actually worked ...
As anyone who has read my early reviews knows- I love Italy! I've been going there now for the past ten years with my parents, and for the first time last year I made my own way there with the boyfriend for a nice Italian holiday. The Grand Hotel Excelsior was my residence for numerous weeks holiday, and it certainly not one for the faint hearted! In the Thompson guide book it is described as 'quaint' which to put it politely is rather an understatement. One thing that can be said for it is it is completely oozing with Italian charm.
ARRIVAL/ LOCATION
If you book with Thompson as we did (though other tour operators go to the same location) flights go from Manchester Airport on a Friday morning, taking just over 2 and a half hours to get to Naples International Airport. From Naples the coastal resort of Amalfi is approximately ...
