La Poule Au Pot is a super place for a real french meal. There are many restaurants in London that serve french food, Gordon Ramsey, all the Conrans pretty much, in other words a fair few to pick from. What stands out about La Poule Au Pot is that is actaually a proper french restaurant in that you couldnt mistake the country you are supposed to be tasting the cusine of. From the first site of the restaurant you know its supposed to be French, rustic ... ...theme. The staff are all french and read all the specials in french, and then translate if you like. The inside of the restaurant is wooden floored with various french themed decorations around the restaurant, flowers, onions etc....it certainly isnt a modern restaurant to look at. Rickety chairs, and wooden tables with candles lit even during the day, it certainly has a slightly romantic feel to the restaurant.
