Advantages: Ideal for families Disadvantages: The beach gets a little windy at times.
...If you like Spain and have young children then go to Menorca and stay at Punta Prima. It is a small resort with many visitors during the day but a lot quieter on a night. It is ideal for families with younger children, if you take them for a meal on a night time there are not a lot of older teenagers hogging the pool tables etc.
The beach is clean and the sea is shallow, you can wade out for quite a distance before it gets too deep. Sometimes it gets a little windy and the sand gets blown about a bit but in general the breeze is more than welcome. If you stay self catering then the food prices in the shops are very reasonable. Finally, if you do go to Punta Prima you must visit the pub called "La Bolera", run by Jordi and Brenda, you will recieve the warmest welcome you will ever have....

...Last year for our honeymoon, my wife and I w\entot the Fiesta Palace in Punta Cana of the Dominican republic. The airport is very unique, it looks like a big hut. We had a great time.
Can't say enough about the weather. Besides the 15 minutes daily thunder shower, it was just awsome, very hot. The beach is very clean, clear and beautiful. The local shop owners don't bug you at all on the beah, they are very friendly. The complex Fiesta palace is top notch, food was very good, service impeccable, clean complex, nice entertainement. The a la carte restaurant are very nice too. Fresh coconut (mmmm). Dinner by the beach is breathtaking. There is alos a gym for theones who wantto work out
A definitive vacation spot....

On the highest point of Sierra de la Ballena, 2491 meters above seal level, is located the lighthouse "Juan Diaz de Solis" and from this point you have a breathtaking view from the rock coast to the "Maldonado" bay, from the "Solanas" beach to the "Sierra de las Animas" with the "Pan de Azúcar" peak.
At kilometre 10 of the Ruta Panoramica we can visit the "Grutas de la Ballena" (Caves of Whale) with their rocky formations of different shapes as a result of the corroding action of the water of the stream that cross the caves. A sight that you will never forget.
