The country - and the weather!!
Firstly, to set the scene i'll give a short introduction to the country, and of course, more importantly, the weather!.....Lanzarote is one of the hugely popular canary islands, and one of my favourite holiday destinations. Although part of Spain, Lanzarote sits close to the North of Africa and because of this, benefits from the heat of the mainland. Having said that, since its a fairly small island, theres quite often a fair breeze flowing through the country, but dont let that put you off, its a welcome breeze in the summer heat and means that the island has very few annoying insects which is a definite plus! All this together means Lanzarote enjoys a favourable climate all year round, with summer temperatures not too hot, and mild winters. In ...

On our recent trip to the Loire Valley Mr Tart and myself arrived in Tours quite late on our first night. We drove down to Tours from Paris. We were going to stop for something to eat on the way but in the end decided to make our way straight to Tours and get settled in the hotel and then find something close by. A couple of minutes from our hotel we came across this place and were really glad that we did.
LOCATION:
La Chope is located at 25 Avenue Grammont. Our hotel was on the same road so we just came across it. It is about a ten minute walk from Tours? old town. The restaurant doesn?t stand out and the sign is not particularly bright so make sure you look out for it.
THE EXPERIENCE:

Pedro de laRosa began his Formula 1 career in a blaze of glory grabbing a point in the Australian Grand Prix but it all went downhill from then on as he failed to pick up another point.
The Spaniard is no spring chicken at 29 but he brought in that all-important sponsorship last season and did outdrive his team-mate Tore Takagi.
He should improve for the year under his belt and a previous year spent testing at Jordan also stood him in good stead as he now possesses a good knowledge of all the circuits.
De laRosa?s driving pedigree is not too shabby either with wins in British Formula Three, Japanese Formula Three and GT racing.
The car has improved dramatically and Pedro is showing glimpses that he is about to move up a notch. ...
