Advantages: Beautiful ! Disadvantages: A little bit expensive
Once upon a time, in France, a town which names Annecy and its inhabitants, the Annéciens... Today, let me tell you a story, the story of where i?ve lived since i was born : Annecy.

Advantages: Great food, reasonable fixed price menu Disadvantages: None
On our recent trip to the Loire Valley Mr Tart and myself arrived in Tours quite late on our first night. We drove down to Tours from Paris. We were going to stop for something to eat on the way but in the end decided to make our way straight to Tours and get settled in the hotel and then find something close by. LOCATION:
La Chope is located at 25 Avenue Grammont. Our hotel was on the same road so we just came across it. It is about a ten minute walk from Tours? old town. The restaurant doesn?t stand out and the sign is not particularly bright so make sure you look out for it.
THE EXPERIENCE:
La Chope (which apparently translates as the tankard) is actually a fish restaurant. I?m not really a fish person (ok, that ...

Advantages: close to old town Disadvantages: dirty, small noisy miserable staff
This was not a very nice hotel. Arrived late afternoon, unable to locate the reception. Eventually got keys from the bar next door!! The stairs were dirty, the rooms small and not as described. Weather was cold and wet, but no heating turned on. The staff were miserable and unhelpful. Booking stated price was inclusive of breakfast, however when we checked out we were charged for breakfast. Very expensive, could have got a cheaper and nicer breakfast at a cafe.
The only redeeming feature was Annecy itself,a very beautiful town even in the rain. Lots of very intersting buildings, shops and of course the lake. A short drive out and you have beautiful scenery and other interesting small towns. But would we go to this hotel again? No way. ...
