Advantages: Location, Size, Hours, Prices Disadvantages: Food only average
I went to La Tasca mainly because it looks great from the outside, it has a great location, it is open on Sunday and it has a great menu (to view it, please visit www.latasca.co.uk).
The atmosphere was much better than any other Spanish restaraunt I have been to. It is also a much bigger place inside than it looks from the outside, spanning 3 floors. As far as location goes, it is on Maiden Lane in Covent Garden, right beside the new Porterhouse ... ...I recently went back to La Tasca. The food is better than in my previous review. However, there was one thing that I was absolutely disgusted with. I was there with some friends, including my sister and neice. Kids move around a it but always with a parents (or Uncle's watchful eye). She picked up a white plastic box from under one of the bench seats upstairs. It took a couple of seconds to realise that it was a rat trap. Not the snap kind, but the ...

Advantages: Fantastic Food, friendly atmosphere Disadvantages: Can sometimes feel a bit rushed
La Tasca in Covent Garden is probaly one of the best of the La Tasca's in London. Although, I have to say, they are all good. This one just has a special something in the atmosphere provided by the wonderful waiters and waitresses that will do anything to make your meal enjoyable. I have eaten here many times and never had a bad meal. The food is consistantly wonderful and the menu is so varied that you can have something different everytime that ... ...large bar area to the front this restaurant offers plenty of seating so that you rarely have to wait. Although if you know you are going there it is worth booking. You can also eat here as part of the theatre meal deals from time to time which offers you the choice of three dishes, a glass of wine or a soft drink and then the show (last minute)! All for between £20 and £30 - what a bargain!
I highly reccomend the Patatas Bravas when you do go. A ...

Advantages: Good food, Good Evening. Disadvantages: Staggering out at closing time.
Two of us went into La Tasca in Covent Garden one evening. I had my nose turned up as it was a chain, and I've heard about chains. None of us fancied the other restaurants in the area and we could not decide what we wanted to eat, so tapas was a good solution. The service was not great at first, but it could have been due to the place being almost packed. I liked the pictures and decor, so I entertained myself until we could get the attentions of ... ...were able to describe dishes to us, and waited patiently for us to finish debating the pros and cons of each tiny tapas dish. The was greatly appreciated. We had a really nice bottle of Rioja, and actually ordered another bottle before we finished with the food! The food was great. We ate most of it, but wanted to save space for dessert. They may look tiny- those tapas dishes, but they seem to have alot in them. We ordered about 9 different types, ...

Advantages: good cheap foood Disadvantages: can't book table for less than 8
I have been to this restaurant a couple of time now and its very good. The tapas are all great even if the portions are not huge. Its one of those places where you order stuff and think that will never be enough but suddenly feel full up (as long as you have bread as well). Everything is very tasty- lots of rich tomatoey flavours and the menu is vast, so its hard to choose . Its good value for money coming to around 20 a head including wine ...
