Plantation Hotel, Balaclava

I am back after a trip in to my Shangri là ... :-) All my body is suntanned and a lot of souvenir in my head.. It's hard to come back in Paris with a bad weather ... sh..t!

Mauritius is a magic place.. So in a magical place, i have to find a magic hotel...And I was not desappointed...

After a 12 hours trip, exhausted, I came face to face with a gorgeous hotel called " La plantation"

THE PLACE TO BE

We have choosen this hotel, because it is located in a downwind bay in the northwest of the island of Mauritius..
This hotel is in the same time in the border of a river and on seafront.
"la plantation" is in the middle of a park of the 8 hectares.

This **** stars hotel ( for the ones that squint, there are 4 stars :-)) is located in a enchanting décor..

THE PLACE TO BE

We have choosen this hotel, because it is located in a downwind bay in the northwest of the island of Mauritius..
This hotel is in the same time in the border of a river and on seafront.
"la plantation" is in the middle of a park of the 8 hectares.
We follow a friendly advice for the choice of this hotel. it tells us that in this period of the year (end of september, and the beginning of October), it's the end of the winter season in Mauritius and the beginning of the summertime. There are only 2 seasons here..
I remind you that Mauritius is in southern hemisphere.. So when the europe is in the winter time, all the countries of the southern begin their summertime :-)

A SMALL LESSON OF PHYSICS
take care about one stupid and useless thing .
when you go to the toilets :-), after you finished what you had to do, you push the flush button right ?
so look at how the water whirls !! it's magical it not in the same way than at home lol
In the northern hemisphere, it 's clockwise and in the southern , it's the contrary..
So it's because of the Coriolis force..

OK OK I stop here my lesson otherwise many ciaoers will stop the reading of this review... Sorry :-)

So a winter with a temperature beetween 21 and 25 °C, i think there is much worse..

So in this period of year, it 's better to find a hotel in the northwest because it's downwind, and it's rainning a little bit less.. Be careful I don't say thaht it's not rainning but just a little bit less..

by car, the capital city PORT LOUIS is at 15 minutes from the hotel.. and at 15 minute of "Gran Baie" a summer and seaside ressort. This hotel is really a ideal place for your journey...

Here, you can stay all your journey in this hotel there are enough activities for it .. It's impossible to get bored here...

DECOR AND ATMOSPHERE :

I know that i am going to tell it again but this hotel is located in a amazing and marvellous place..
Everything here sound luxury with the mauritius discretion and tact..This hotel is a tropical safety haven in the middle of the indian ocean.. There is nice beach of white sand

Here water is the main element of this hotel..
When you arrive in this hotel, in the huge black marble entrance hall you are face to face with a tiny and nice fountain, with exotic flowers..=> Nice to see!

Here the water is the main element. everywhere you go in this hotel, there is water.. The back of the hotel is surround by swimming pool. So it's possible to sample a cocktail and wade in the swimming pool in the same time.

you can also wander on the border of the river..

HOSTING
each room has its own conditionned air (a little too much for me but you can setup the temperature as you wish) . You can watch the cable TV in your bath..
a deposit box is avalable to keep in the safe place all you treasure
