Brilliant Holiday At Lady's Mile Touring Park!
Advantages: Clean Practical and good Location Disadvantages: Showers and toilets CLEAN.... but dated.

Anyways, back to the park perfect location to get around and visit a lot of different seaside resorts and attractions. This was the main reason we picked the park and were a little apprehensive about lady's mile with a couple of bad ... ...arrived at 11 am in the morning and found the receptionist very friendly and helpful, we were given wristbands and an informational booklet and then told to find a pitch and enjoy your stay. Now I’ve been to a few caravan parks as a kid and I have never been asked to find a pitch, but there’s plenty, all different sizes and all close to the toilets and the showers. We arrived at 11 am in the morning and found the receptionist very friendly and helpful, we were given wristbands and an informational booklet and then told to find a pitch and enjoy your stay. Now I’ve been to a few caravan parks as a kid and I have never been asked to find a pitch, but there’s plenty, all different sizes and all close to the toilets and the showers. As for the toilets and showers they are a little dated but i only went in to the toilet 3 times when I didn’t see a cleaner. They were spotless and for the number of people on the site i never had to wait for a shower. My girlfriend did, but nothing out of the ordinary a few people in a queue.
The main complex is very nice, indoor and outdoor pools both with flumes, very well supervised with lifeguards and a great place to spend a late evening before tea. Threes a restaurant which we used just once for the gorgeous Sunday cavalry and other meals seemed reasonably price. Alongside this was the takeaway which was very good, good prices and good food, however staff seamed very docile and a little bit slow but cooked a cracking pizza.
To go with the pools, takeaway and restaurant is the bar where they have bingo and shows and other campsite favourites. Its very expensive for a drink, £3.40 for a pint which is steep and it isn’t very big so just get there early to get a seat however we won on the bingo so we had a good couple of nights in there and for the resources they have got the shows were very good.
The shop was brilliant had everything for a camping holiday at very good prices, no need to take food its all there and you pay the same you would at you major supermarket you may visit at home.
In all it was brilliant, staff and entertainers were very friendly and always made an effort. It was a very very clean and present park and we went in the main peak weeks during the school holidays and always got a decent night sleep. Were booking again early to avoid disappointment.
As for the bad reviews here? i cannot understand but it sounds like they mainly stayed in the static caravans which we never experienced but the seemed to replacing the old dated ones with modern ones.
I've just returned home after 8 days at this touring park, and what can I say other than AWFUL, TERRIBLE. Security was 0 (zero) anyone can just wander on and did. The pithches where VERY NARROW as where the the roads on the camp, when 2 cars needed to pass they had to squeeze past just missing the caravans or the tents either side of the road. Manoevering our caravan on to the pitch was very difficult due to the width of the roads and the very close ... ...HARD STANDING PITCHES to which there was NONE of these. When were departing I noticed that they had tourers on the grassed area by the car park because they had no pitch for them (looks like they had overbooked)
On to the nightlife, as I said security was 0 so hoards of unruly teenagers running drunkly riot, I know its the parents responsiblities but simple security would have eased these problems. The clubhouse/bar is far too small for the amount ...

We have just returned from a horrible experience at Ladysmile campsite. Upon arrival our first impressions should have let us know what we were in for, more than the scathing reviews we read on this site. (please read other reviews to form your own opinion).
The site is run by a thug who wants nothing more than to take your money and provide little in the way of customer satisfaction.
The takeaway is staffed by incompetents who have no customer ... ...club is far too small for the numbers on site and the look on the staff's faces says it all, they do not to be there either.
Finally, if you want to disagree with anyone, don't do it here.
I was assaulted verbally and physically by the owner and his hired thugs and had the police called to me late one night. The police told me they knew what he was like and that I wouldn't win.
The following morning I was given 3 hours to get off the site and ...

We had a terrible experience at this holiday site. My son was accused of committing a misdemeanor in the swimming pool on the first day. This led to a very upset and confused 10 year old and a very angry father-and 3 days of hell. After much complaining and requests of proof of the allegation made about our son, it later transpired 3 days later that there had been a mistake and our son had not been involved in any altercation at the pool!!!!!!!! ... ...and the Management were not at all interested that their staff had falsely accused a minor with our proper procedures, or policies or proof. Their attitude was a case of "s*** happens" we are not interested in you!!!!!!!
Our neighbours had no working shower and were told to use the shower block for campers!!!!!
A late night noisy party was not dealt with , because there was no late night on site security.!!!!!!!!!!

Advantages: price, pitch size. Them Selling one of the tourinhe g fields to Tesco! Disadvantages: No security, The brochure inacurately paints a completly different picture!!!
Visited during the last week of July 2009.
My first impression was not good. On arrival I noted the complete lack of security or anyone to greet and meet at the entrance. Also I noticed the entertainment complex that seemed small. The reception area is very small. The park is vast with over 400 touring pitches, which seem to vary in size. Our pitch that we had to go choose ourselves was 6m x 6m which was sufficient for out trailer tent. There are ... ...was the washroom facilities in my opinion were not totally clean and the high level cleaning was not up to standard! There was also no hot water. I did complain and the problem was sorted the same day. The brochure promises a lot but in reality fails miserably?
I would also challenge their ETCB 4 star rating? I would thing they are more a 2-3 star? Maybe many moons ago they had the rating and are still using it? The entertainment, pools and play ...
