I stayed at this hotel with my 2 friends for a week and found it to be quite far away from alcudias nightlife, it was about 3euros to get there in a taxi, although this was not a problem it was a lot of hassle trying to find a taxi there and back every night.If you want to stay around the centre of playa de muro there a a number of restaurants but most entertainment is centred round the larger hotels, there is very few bars. I would definately return to Alcudia again, but next time i would stay within walking distance of the centre, where there are plenty of bars which are family friendly, and a handful of clubs open til late.
Advantages: Beautiful beaches, resorts for all ages! Disadvantages: Can't think of any!
area, which I have to say suited us a lot better. There are still loads of bars, restaurants, shops etc but not as hustly and bustly. Our children were 5 and 12 and we went with other family members and had a fantastic time. We found a Cheers bar round the corner from where we stayed and we ate there every night - very reasonable prices and entertainment great for young kids and old - arcade next door!!
We are due to go again in August to the Playa de Muro area again staying in the Las Gaviotas apartments - we stayed in the LagoPark2 which were clean and air conditioned!
All in all I would recommend a trip to Alcudia if you have children - or even if you don't! ...
